588: Chapter 588: Mutated Praying Mantises in India and Pakistan

The Bee Queen and the crystals had already been separated and loaded into those 27 Okshung warships before Putian Xiaoyezi arrived in Istanbul.

They would deploy the corresponding Bee Queens at their designated locations on their way to their destination.

The deployment process could not be hidden, because anyone who wasn't blind could see it.

After Putian Xiaoyezi discovered this, she immediately reported it to the Elder Hall.

The Elder Hall's reply was not to worry about it, as someone would handle it.

Since she didn't need to worry, Putian Xiaoyezi was happy to be at leisure.

Ankara, a small city in the western part of Mordo.

"Holy Venerable, the items have been brought back," a subordinate reported.

"Let's go take a look," a scruffy, bearded Holy Venerable strode out.

Inside a makeshift courtyard, several subordinates surrounded a black box.

This was a black box made of an unknown composite material; besides some dirt, there were no distinguishing marks on its surface.

There were no seams between the faces of the box, only one side had a lid that looked like it could be opened.

"Open it!" the scruffy Holy Venerable commanded.

Several subordinates carefully opened the lid.

No unexpected situations occurred.

Inside was only a crudely designed robot that appeared to be broken.

After careful inspection, the Holy Venerable took photos from various angles for evidence and then sent them back to the Elder Hall.

The Okshung warships were not continuously deploying boxes; some sections had many deployments, some had few, and many sections had none at all.

The deployment program was pre-set, and boxes would only be deployed when passing through areas where underground tunnels were being constructed.

To cover his tracks, Oriental Chen placed a very low-quality detection robot in each box. They were crudely made and of poor quality, basically breaking upon impact with the ground.

These were meant for them to pick up.

If the deployed boxes contained nothing, it would arouse their suspicion.

In reality, by the time they rushed to pick up the boxes, the Bee Queens inside had already moved underground with the crystalss.

The Elder Hall issued a strict order that all black boxes deployed by the Okshung warships must be found.

At this, the Mordo territory became lively, with many people leaving their homes and rushing across the vast Gobi Desert.

Because of the long-term drought and high temperatures, there was no snow accumulation here.

Oriental Chen had lost contact with the warships, so he did not witness this scene.

At the same time, Cai Liquan had arrived in India-Pakistan.

In stark contrast to the warm welcome from Egula, India-Pakistan's attitude was exceptionally serious and heavily guarded.

The warships led by Cai Liquan landed in Mumbai, a significant city in the southern part of India-Pakistan's Maharashtra province.

This area has a tropical climate, and the current temperature is still above 18 degrees Celsius.

Cai Liquan was not in a hurry to exit the cabin, as the scene before him left him at a loss.

Oriental Chen also saw this scene through the monitoring screen.

Looking out the window, a dense mass of small animals: mutated Mantises, stood on the overgrown lawn.

These were a group of yellowish-brown Mantises, standing neatly in formation, their triangular heads all turned to look, like courageous warriors.

Because they were on the warship, the objects they saw appeared smaller. But Oriental Chen estimated that the height of these mutated Mantises' heads from the ground definitely exceeded 1 meter.

Compared to the warships, they were certainly small fry, but compared to humans, this was somewhat terrifying.

Mantises of this size could easily kill a person.

Their two forelimbs were like two sharp axes, and combined with their lightning-fast attack speed, their destructive power should not be underestimated.

Now Oriental Chen's biggest question was, is India-Pakistan also an insect civilization? Or have they mastered the method of controlling insects?

"Monga, come and look at these Mantises, see if there's anything unusual," Oriental Chen said.

"These insects are not normal," Monga replied directly.

"Can you elaborate?" Oriental Chen asked.

Although he now had a lot of knowledge implanted, it was far from as extensive as Monga's experience.

She was an "old monster" who had lived in the Solar System for a billion years, having seen many things and possessing rich experience.

"Mantises only remain still when they see prey. But they shouldn't spontaneously gather together and form formations," Monga said.

"Since insects can produce civilization, what's so strange about that?" Oriental Chen retorted.

"I think they are being controlled," Monga still firmly believed her idea.

"Could India-Pakistan also possess gene programming technology?" Oriental Chen guessed.

The gene programming technology developed by Ling Wu could already control Rat Rabbits, dung beetless, and Antss. So now, seeing controlled Mantises, Oriental Chen was not surprised.

What was surprising was that if India-Pakistan also possessed this technology, then its relationship with Mordo would be worth pondering deeply.
