450: Chapter 450: District 21 Abandoned

This time, things weren't so smooth.

As soon as the twelve people left the building, a bolt of lightning struck, instantly killing six of them.

The remaining six, seeing the dire situation, quickly retreated.

“Send more people over!” the Director said.

“Sir, no one dares to go now!” His subordinate was embarrassed.

Everyone could see it now: as long as they left the building, it was a dead end. Who would dare to go?

Before the Director could erupt, the situation outside changed.

The sound of lightning had significantly diminished, almost inaudible.

The large orb in the sky disappeared, and the person on the rooftop also vanished.

The Director confirmed multiple times and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“It’s good that he’s gone!” he thought to himself.

“Sir, look.” At this moment, a subordinate suddenly pointed to the ground and shouted.

The Director looked at the ground through his binoculars.

“FUCK! What is going on?”

All the people struck by lightning had stood up.

They stood up and walked forward as if nothing had happened.

Their steps were vigorous.

No!

“FUCK!”

All these people were walking in unison towards one direction.

It was their office building.

“Give the order, immediately proceed to the building entrance and set up defenses! Quickly!” the Director yelled.

He had a very bad premonition that these people were going to attack here.

“Bang bang bang ~”

Guns fired.

The security personnel inside the building began to attack the people rushing in.

“What?”

Bullets hit their bodies, but had no effect whatsoever.

Their clothes were riddled with large holes, but no blood flowed out.

“Thump ~”

A security guard directly threw a grenade.

The surging crowd was directly blown away by the blast.

Limbs flew everywhere, yet not a single drop of blood splattered.

The people behind continued to rush in frantically.

“Retreat! Retreat!”

The security guards fought while retreating towards the stairs.

“Ah!”

Someone had already charged forward in a single leap, directly sending a security guard flying with one punch.

“So powerful!”

The others were completely stunned by this sight.

This was clearly not power that a normal person could possess.

“Ah!”

“Ah!”

Several more security guards were sent flying.

Their defenses were quickly shattered, and everyone scattered and fled.

“Sir, retreat quickly! We can’t hold them downstairs!” a subordinate rushed into the office and shouted.

The Director didn't hesitate, grabbed his personal items from the desk, and rushed out the door.

There was a helipad on the roof, and now that the orb had disappeared, the helicopter should be able to take off.

Under the protection of several team members, the Director successfully reached the rooftop.

At this point, the strange people below were already about to storm up, so the Director didn't have time for a single word of nonsense and directly boarded the helicopter.

As soon as the helicopter took off, the crowd rushed up.

“Bang bang bang ~”

The security guards fired their guns, hoping to buy some time for the helicopter to depart.

“Ah ah ah ~”

There were simply too many of those strange people; their few pistols were completely ineffective. In a few seconds, all of them were pushed off the tall building.

With a leap, many people directly jumped towards the Director’s helicopter.

At this point, the helicopter had already left the building by ten to twenty meters, but it was still caught by one person who grabbed onto its landing gear.

The helicopter lost a bit of balance and spun in place.

The pilot quickly pulled up and turned sharply; the strong acceleration combined with the centripetal force caused the person below to be flung away, and the helicopter successfully escaped.

After the Director left, these people lost their target and dispersed.

Now, the entire District 21 was going to suffer.

These strange people moved quickly, possessed immense strength, and attacked anyone they saw.

The entire survival base plunged into a living hell.

The army's helicopters also took off one after another shortly after.

District 21 was considered completely abandoned.

...

The helicopter's fuel was limited, so it couldn't go very far.

The Director decided to head first to Phoenix, Arizona, to the west, where District 20 was located.

“Oh, Buck, my friend, welcome to my place.” Inside the FBS District 20 sub-bureau.

“Claire, I apologize for the disturbance.” Director Buck said.

Buck was the Director of the District 21 sub-bureau.

“There’s no need for such formalities between us. Why didn’t you call ahead before coming over?” Director Claire asked.

“Something happened in District 21,” Buck said, looking haggard.

“What exactly happened?” Claire also stopped joking around.

So Buck recounted the entire incident.

“Is this a demon version of Thor? He can even create lightning?” Claire was very surprised after listening.

“I don’t know either, I think we should report it as soon as possible. We definitely can’t handle this matter.” Buck shrugged, indicating he also had no idea.

“Alright then!” Claire nodded.

Buck used the phone in Claire’s office to call the President’s office directly.

After the situation was reported, how it would be handled was no longer their concern.

...

Los Angeles, California.

Nakae Koji had been staying in Long Beach for two days.

This was also the longest he had planned to wait.

If the United States of America authorities still hadn't given a reply today, then he would proceed directly.
