624: Chapter 624: Beijing Base Restores Communications

The Mordo incident was over, but Huaguo had fallen into a state of chaos.

After the troops from the Northwest Military Region and Southwest Military Region withdrew to Huaguo, for safety, they could only temporarily head to the Mosang Ark Base.

Kyoto Central Base.

"Old Qin, didn't you say everything was under control? Now the control of Huaguo has fallen into the hands of the Huatong Chamber of Commerce. Is Oriental Chen doing this on purpose?" Baili Ji said.

"Alright, you're old enough, why are you still so impetuous? Just wait and see, I believe Xiao Chen can handle it," Old Qin said, glancing at him.

"I just don't understand why you have so much faith in him?" Baili Ji couldn't sit still.

With the base out of contact, he, the Speaker of the Council, was effectively sidelined.

"What else? Can you solve it?" Old Qin retorted.

"I..." Baili Ji was speechless.

He wasn't even sure who was problematic and who wasn't. Without even usable people, solving the problem was just a luxury.

"If there's no other way, just wait. Stop pacing, you're making me dizzy!"

"Sigh!" Baili Ji sighed helplessly, sat on the sofa, and fell silent.

"Commander, Tiangang has arrived in Kyoto," Xiao Lin reported.

"Good, send him a message. Tell him to go to the Kyoto Habitat Underground Base first. The operation will commence in an hour."

"Understood."

Why did Oriental Chen wait for an hour? Because the communication tunnel would take an hour to build.

As long as contact was made with the Bee Queen inside the base, the Kyoto Habitat Underground Base could be monitored.

An hour later.

"Commander, the Kyoto Habitat Underground Base has restored communication."

"Good, retrieve base data and lock onto suspicious personnel."

"Command has been issued. A total of 135 suspicious personnel have been locked on."

"Eliminate them immediately!"

"Understood, command has been issued. Targets cleared."

Inside the base, there was no shortage of nanobots. As long as a target could be locked on, they could be eliminated in minutes.

"Scan the signal towers and clear the silicon-based microorganisms residing on them. Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the base to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned."

"Understood, command has been issued."

"Signal towers cleared, communication restored to normal."

"Alright, notify Tiangang to enter the base. The rest will be handled by him," Oriental Chen instructed.

"Understood, message sent."

Kyoto Central Base.

"Reporting, Speaker, the Kyoto Habitat Underground Base has been recovered. Please give instructions." Shen Wengang contacted Baili Ji after entering the base.

Currently, there was no one in charge inside the base, and the cultists had also been cleared out. How to handle the subsequent matters still required Baili Ji's decision.

"Good! Go to the military living quarters first and lift the lockdown there. Have them gather in the training area; I have my own arrangements," Baili Ji instructed.

"Yes!"

The 20,000 Central Army Soldiers in the Kyoto Habitat Underground Base were still detained, and Baili Ji did not have the authority to directly lift the lockdown.

Ten minutes later, Shen Wengang arrived at the military living quarters.

The entrance here was fully sealed, and the display screen at the door showed red text: DANGER! NO ENTRY!

"Open the door!" Shen Wengang shouted.

The Bluebird Special Operations Team members had already taken over the control room. Upon receiving the command, they immediately instructed the staff to open the door.

"Beep beep beep ~"

Soon, the color of the entrance screen changed, from red to blue.

The content on it also changed, displaying: SAFE, ACCESS GRANTED.

Then the screen flashed, and the content changed again, displaying: OPENING SEALED DOOR.

"Clang ~"

The door moved.

The heavy sealed door moved to both sides, opening the passage.

What came into view was a large group of Soldiers in military uniforms, standing at the entrance, looking out.

Shen Wengang led his team members straight inside.

The Soldiers inside still knew nothing.

They didn't understand why they had been locked up, nor did they understand what the people who had arrived were doing.

So they stood there, quietly watching.

"Hello everyone, I am Tiangang, leader of the Southeast Military Region's Bluebird Special Operations Team. I am here to deliver a message by order of Speaker Baili," Shen Wengang shouted.

He didn't say he was there to rescue them, because they weren't prisoners.

"Commander! It's the Commander!" The Soldiers finally breathed a sigh of relief.

They didn't address him as Speaker. As Soldiers of the Central Army, it was naturally more familiar to call him Commander.

"What did the Commander say?" a military officer-like person asked.

"Please gather in the training area; the Speaker has his own arrangements," Shen Wengang said.

"Attention all, gather in the training area!" the officer shouted.

Upon receiving the order, the Soldiers immediately moved in an orderly fashion to the training area.

10 minutes later, all 10 training areas in the living quarters were assembled.

Each training area had 2,000 people standing in neat formations, quietly waiting.

They guessed that Baili Ji would definitely address them via a large screen.

So everyone looked straight ahead, waiting for the screen to light up.
