587: Chapter 587: Warships Can Be Released

“Of course, we’ll turn their scheme against them and see what their plan is,” the Elder said.

“This disciple understands.” Putian Xiaoyezi bowed respectfully.

“Take this. Report any situation at any time.” The Elder took out a communicator, similar to an old-fashioned bar phone.

“Thank you, Elder!” Putian Xiaoyezi hurried forward and took it with both hands.

“This communicator only has messaging functionality; it cannot make calls. Do not let anyone else see it besides you.”

“This disciple will remember.”

“You may go.”

January 19, 2057.

Putian Xiaoyezi ordered the warship to set sail early in the morning, flying towards Istanbul.

The straight-line distance between Damascus and Istanbul is just over a thousand kilometers, which can be covered in an hour and a half.

At 8:30 AM, the Great Sun Country warship arrived at the designated area.

Putian Xiaoyezi looked out the window and saw many warships already docked there. From their appearance, they must belong to Okshung.

Hmm? No, that’s not right.

In the farthest distance, there were three warships of completely different styles.

He was very familiar with this style; they looked very similar to his own warship, both having a trapezoidal block structure that was narrower at the front and wider at the back.

Without a doubt, these were sent by Oriental Chen.

“Could Oriental Chen be in Istanbul?” Putian Xiaoyezi speculated.

To verify his guess, Putian Xiaoyezi called him directly.

“Mr. Dongfang, I have arrived at the designated area.”

“Did you arouse the Elder Hall’s suspicion?” Oriental Chen asked.

“I reported truthfully to the Elder Hall, and the Elder’s intention is for me to turn their scheme against them,” Putian Xiaoyezi replied truthfully.

He couldn’t say otherwise; if he lied and said he hadn’t attracted the Elder Hall’s attention, the credibility would be too low.

“Then will you turn their scheme against them?” Oriental Chen asked suggestively.

Once this sensitive barrier was broken, Putian Xiaoyezi could openly engage in covert actions.

Oriental Chen asking this was encouraging him to openly engage in covert actions.

“Mr. Dongfang, please rest assured, my life is in your hands; how could I betray you?” Putian Xiaoyezi stated.

“I wouldn’t expect you to dare. This matter is of great importance; you’d best not try any clever tricks,” Oriental Chen threatened.

“I wouldn’t dare!” Putian Xiaoyezi replied.

“Do you see those warships parked to the west?”

“Are you referring to Okshung’s warships?”

“Exactly. Send some people over to operate those warships,” Oriental Chen said.

“Operate those warships? Mr. Dongfang, I don’t understand what you mean.” Putian Xiaoyezi was stunned.

“Don’t ask too many questions!” Oriental Chen coldly snapped.

“Yes! I’ll handle it immediately.” Putian Xiaoyezi accepted the order.

Half an hour later.

“Mr. Dongfang, it’s all arranged.”

“You go over there too,” Oriental Chen said.

“Mr. Dongfang…”

“Don’t worry, it won’t cost you your life!” Oriental Chen knew his concerns.

“Yes!”

Putian Xiaoyezi arrived inside Okshung’s warship.

“Mr. Dongfang, I’m here.”

“Have your warship lead the way and take them to the designated areas.”

Oriental Chen sent him 9 waypoints, three warships per waypoint.

Putian Xiaoyezi looked and saw that all these waypoints were within Mordo territory.

“Mr. Dongfang, you can’t! Once these warships enter Mordo territory, they will be attacked.” Putian Xiaoyezi feigned a suggestion.

In his heart, he just felt a bit of pity.

Why weren’t these warships Oriental Chen’s?

“Otherwise, why would I have you go up there?” Oriental Chen retorted.

“Mr. Dongfang, what you’re doing is pointless. Even if I take them to the designated areas, they won’t be able to cause any damage to Mordo.” Putian Xiaoyezi was trying to elicit information.

He guessed that Oriental Chen wanted to temporarily hide these warships within Mordo territory and launch an attack when the time was right.

If that were truly the case, then Oriental Chen was being too naive.

Mordo wasn’t stupid; they would surely be prepared.

“How Okshung uses these warships is their business, not mine. You just need to complete this task,” Oriental Chen said.

“Okay, I understand.”

After hanging up the phone, Putian Xiaoyezi reported the situation to the Elder Hall, the main points being:

1. Oriental Chen’s warships were discovered in Istanbul, leading to speculation that they might have reached some form of cooperation.

2. Oriental Chen requested that Okshung’s warships be brought to a designated location, the purpose of which was unknown.

The Elder Hall’s reply quickly arrived:

1. Ascertain the details of their cooperation as much as possible.

2. The warships may be allowed to proceed.

They dared to directly allow Okshung’s warships to proceed, indicating their immense confidence in their own strength.

After receiving authorization, Putian Xiaoyezi immediately ordered the fleet to depart and fly towards the designated area.

Once within Mordo’s heartland, Oriental Chen could no longer contact Putian Xiaoyezi, and the rest was left to fate.
