309: Chapter 309 Three Cyborgs Killed

One of the team members waved at the other two, signaling to leave the area.

They made a quick decision and moved away from the direction of the road.

In such a situation, it was best to hide.

This area happened to have no buildings, only a few scattered knee-high coniferous shrubs.

The three of them hid behind these plants, successfully concealing their tracks.

The two groups of people on the road seemed not to have noticed the movement by the roadside, and after meeting, they continued to walk forward.

Only after the two groups had gone far did they continue to move forward.

The area explored by Team 6 was the most complex, in the northwest direction.

This was a densely populated slum area with at least fifty or sixty unpaved dirt streets.

These houses were basically single-story ordinary small houses, and a large portion of them were yurts.

The streets were laid out very neatly, with each household separated into independent small courtyards by fences, and these houses and yurts were built within the fenced courtyards.

Although they didn't need to search these houses, a thorough reconnaissance of the entire area would still take several hours.

As they were exploring a certain street, a sudden change occurred.

Three Modified humans blocked their way.

With a narrow encounter, there was no time to think; they had to act.

The three of them attacked together, each dealing with one.

One team member instantly moved in front of a Modified human and threw a punch.

It had to be said that the Modified human's physical strength was not just a little stronger than that of ordinary people.

The Modified human did not have such a fast reaction speed, and with this blow, he flew backward, but during the flight, his feet dragged on the ground, and he quickly stabilized his body.

Then he patted the dirt off himself, appearing completely unharmed.

Immediately after, he charged forward quickly, rushing towards this team member.

This team member showed no fear and also rushed towards the opponent.

As the two sides approached, they simultaneously threw punches, and the small fist and the Modified human's large fist collided, making a slight impact sound.

The team member took a step back from the impact but was fine.

However, the Modified human was not so lucky; he retreated several steps, and his right arm was directly fractured due to the excessive impact.

It seemed that being bulky didn't necessarily mean being resistant to blows; the Modified human's power level was still far inferior compared to a Mutant.

This collision caused the Modified human to be stunned for a few seconds.

When he came to his senses and prepared to launch another attack with his left hand, he found that the person opposite him had already disappeared.

This team member, taking advantage of his moment of daze, had already quickly moved behind him.

A sharp dagger had quietly extended towards his neck, and by the time he realized the danger and prepared to dodge, it was too late.

The team member's hand moved, and the knife fell, directly slitting the Modified human's throat.

The situation for the other two members was similar; all three Modified humans were killed in less than a minute.

After dragging the bodies to a secluded corner, the three continued their reconnaissance.

Shen Wengang's four-person team was responsible for exploring the most important place, the hospital on the south side of the Ulan Country National Stadium.

The female dead soldier had confessed that a portion of Chinese citizens were being held there.

There was a guard post at the entrance of the hospital, with at least three or four people guarding it.

Shen Wengang and his four teammates circled to the south wall of the hospital, used their feet to push off, and directly scaled the wall to enter.

This hospital was very small, with only one main building and no other structures.

The place where they scaled the wall was directly behind the main building.

The main building had four floors, all completely dark, with only one room on the fourth floor having lights.

Climbing stairs was not an issue for them.

After several pushes off the window ledges, the four successfully reached the roof of the building.

"You wait outside for me, I'll go in and take a look," Shen Wengang instructed.

"Brother, I'm coming too," Luoer disagreed with Shen Wengang acting alone.

"You wait outside, and observe the surroundings. If there's danger inside, I'll still need you to pull me out," Shen Wengang said with a smile.

"Okay!" Luoer agreed.

Shen Wengang nodded, gripped the eaves with one hand, and leaped down, landing perfectly outside the lit window.

Looking through the window, inside was an office.

A doctor in a white coat was frantically rummaging for something.

He needed to wait for an opportunity.

If he went in directly at this moment, the other party screaming could very likely attract others.

Five minutes later, the person inside walked out of the room.

Shen Wengang seized this opportunity, opened the window, and jumped in.

The office was messy, with scattered documents all over the desktop and floor, as if it had just been ransacked.

Footsteps appeared in the hallway, and Shen Wengang, without time to do anything, quickly stood behind the door.

The door opened, and the person who had just left came back in.

He seemed to have left something behind, checked his pockets with nothing, looked on the desk with nothing, and then started rummaging around again.

Shen Wengang quietly came behind him and held the knife to his neck.

The man was about to shout when Shen Wengang covered his mouth.

"Don't make a sound, or your head will move, understand?" Shen Wengang whispered.

The doctor looked a little scared and nodded tremblingly.
