327: Chapter 327 Chinese People Rescued

“You, tell me, where are the captured Huaguo Citizens being held?” Dai Zheng asked, walking up to another person.

The man hesitated for two seconds and didn't speak. Dai Zheng, without another word, picked up a stick and began to strike his head repeatedly. The man instantly passed out.

“You speak!” Dai Zheng said, panting, pointing at the next person.

“J-j-just… near the w-w-west station,” the man stammered.

“How many people are guarding there?” Dai Zheng asked.

“O-o-one… thousand-plus… people,” the man replied.

“Are they all Modified humans?” Dai Zheng asked.

“Yes,” the man nodded.

“Good, excellent. Eliminate them all!” Dai Zheng nodded, affirming him, and commanded the Special Operations Team.

Several Special Operations Team members stepped forward and slit the throats of the men.

“Comrades, what comes next is a tough battle. The enemy consists of over a thousand Modified humans, and we only have forty-some people. I demand that we eliminate them all as quickly as possible, while ensuring the safety of the Citizens. Can everyone do it?” Dai Zheng asked.

“Yes!” the Special Operations Team members answered in unison.

“Alright, next I’ll arrange the combat mission. Team One will attack from the south, Team Two from the north. We will flank them from both sides and resolve the battle within half an hour. Is that clear to everyone?” Dai Zheng asked.

“Clear!” the team members responded.

“Alright, move out!” With Dai Zheng’s command, both teams set off simultaneously.

Dai Zheng's combat capabilities were currently limited, so he didn't join the fray. He returned to the aircraft and monitored the battle's progress via the screen.

Both teams began their attacks almost simultaneously. The sound produced by the Laser Guns was very small, and many of the enemy were successively shot in the head before they could even react.

“Enemy attack!” Someone quickly discovered they were under attack and shouted loudly.

People resting in the rooms rushed out and joined the battle.

The scene immediately became chaotic.

The combat power of Modified humans was still inferior compared to Mutants.

Their speed, strength, and reaction capabilities were not on the same level. Furthermore, with the protection of their Combat Suits, eliminating them was like slicing through melons and vegetables.

In less than 20 minutes, both small teams had cut through the enemy.

After joining forces, they began to search the buildings.

As expected, many warehouses near the station were packed, filled with dense crowds of people.

Hearing the warehouse doors being broken open, everyone looked towards the entrance.

The people who rushed in were wearing camouflage Combat Suits, balaclavas, and carrying guns, looking like terrorists.

No one dared to speak; everyone lowered their heads.

“Don’t be afraid, everyone. We are from Huaguo and we are here to rescue you,” the entering team member shouted.

People in the crowd began to whisper cautiously, but no one believed them; they still kept their heads down.

“Now, listen to me, everyone. You have been rescued. Now, exit in an orderly fashion and gather in the square ahead,” the team member said, stepping aside from the doorway.

Some bolder individuals raised their heads and looked at the doorway. The door was indeed open, but no one dared to walk out.

“Everyone, move quickly, we have limited time,” the team member said again.

Still, no one dared to move.

“Alright, I’m going out first. You all hurry and gather in the square,” the team member said helplessly, shaking his head and walking out on his own.

After the team member left, the few people closest to the door stood up, walked to the entrance, and peered outside. There wasn't a single guard, and the ground was covered in corpses.

This confirmed it; they were indeed rescued.

“Everyone, hurry up, this is real, we are truly rescued!” the person who had been looking out shouted joyfully.

At this, the people completely stirred, standing up and pushing towards the door.

Now, the station square was already full of people. They were all ragged and disheveled, as if they had never seen the world, each one looking up, breathing the free air.

“Everyone, gather here!” the captain of Special Operations Team One shouted.

Hearing the call, the crowd began to move towards him.

More and more people gathered.

That was nearly 100,000 people, all able-bodied young individuals.

The captain stood on a high point, looking out by the moonlight, and people were everywhere.

“Bang~” A gunshot rang out, and the captain was hit.

“Ah!”

Hearing the gunshot, the crowd scattered in terror.

At the same time, several team members had already locked onto the shooter, instantly teleported over, and quickly apprehended him.

This was definitely a straggler who had been lurking.

“Everyone, don’t panic! The shooter has been caught! All of you, come and gather!” the captain shouted again.

This time, his shout was more effective, and everyone turned to look at him.

Everyone was curious: wasn't this person shot? How is he not dead?

“Everyone, listen carefully to me. We are not yet completely out of danger. You must obey orders and follow instructions! Now, listen to my command: everyone, sit down where you are!” the captain shouted.

There wasn't much room for formality now; the sheer number of people meant that if a riot broke out, it would be very difficult for even their dozens of people to easily stabilize the situation.

Having them sit down would effectively prevent riots and mutual trampling.

As the captain repeatedly emphasized, everyone cooperatively sat down, and the scene finally quieted down.
