148: Virtuous cycle

Pan Han finally stopped after running about 10,000 meters.

Soaked in sweat, he breathed slightly, feeling incredibly refreshed.

Many other morning joggers around him cast envious glances.

Pan Han returned their kind smiles.

Ring, ring, ring! His phone rang.

Pan Han answered: “Hello, Xiaoli!”

“Hello, Assassin Pan! Where have you been again?” Yan Xiaoli asked lazily. She had just opened her eyes and found no sign of Pan Han in the room.

“Haha! That’s why I say you’re artistic! That’s a good name. I’m out for a run, I’ll be back soon.” Pan Han had been on his way back for a while and was almost downstairs.

“Bring some breakfast up.” Yan Xiaoli was thirsty and hungry now; that kind of activity was too physically demanding.

“What do you want to eat?”

“Soy milk and fried dough sticks, I guess.”

“Haha, you still haven’t had enough!”

“Get lost, I haven’t had them in ages! Hurry, I’m starving!”

“Alright!”

Pan Han saw a breakfast stall right in front of him, bought a dozen fried dough sticks and four large cups of soy milk, and went straight upstairs.

When he returned, Yan Xiaoli had already washed up and was sitting at the dining table, waiting to eat.

“Come on, come on! Hurry, eat while it’s hot!” Pan Han placed the soy milk and fried dough sticks on the table.

Yan Xiaoli didn’t stand on ceremony, directly grabbing a fried dough stick and taking a big bite.

“Slow down, quickly drink some soy milk. Do you want sugar?” Pan Han saw her so eager and was afraid she would choke.

“No!” Yan Xiaoli gulped down more than half a cup.

“Refreshing!”

“Hmm, refreshing! But you still need to eat slowly.” Pan Han felt a pang of heartache seeing her like this. He had been too forceful last night.

“Do you know? Actresses rarely get a chance to eat such high-oil food. I was so tired last night, I probably won’t gain weight even if I eat it all.” Yan Xiaoli opened her mouth wide, finished one fried dough stick, and picked up another.

“Isn’t this good? Everything has its pros and cons.” Pan Han murmured to himself.

“So you’ve understood!” Yan Xiaoli was so sharp; she knew Pan Han was talking to himself as soon as she heard him.

“Yes! One breakthrough leads to another! Thank you, Xiaoli!” Pan Han held Yan Xiaoli’s hands, expressing his sincere gratitude.

“You’re welcome. After turning a new page, it’s a new day. Go for it!” Yan Xiaoli gestured wildly, mimicking a Superman pose.

Pan Han tilted his head, watching the beautiful woman in front of him try to cheer him up.

Fate was indeed marvelous.

Ring, ring, ring! The phone rang again.

“Hello? Doudou!” Pan Han answered the phone, knowing something big was about to happen.

“Hello, Pan Han. You need to come over today. The results are out.” Wang Doudou was concise.

“I know, I’ll go after I finish eating.” With that, Pan Han hung up the phone.

“Going to see Wang Doudou?” Yan Xiaoli asked.

“Yes!” Pan Han had never told Yan Xiaoli about the potion before, but she didn’t ask either.

“Do you need me to go? If not, I’ll continue discussing the new film with my friends.”

“No need. You go get busy. I’ll transfer some money to you later; if you need to spend money, just use your card.” Pan Han said, picking up his phone to prepare the transfer.

Ding! The transfer notification SMS arrived.

Yan Xiaoli saw it: 2 million.

“Why so much?” Yan Xiaoli was a little surprised.

“The script needs to be the best, and we need to find talented directors, cinematographers, and so on. We can find new actors. Do you think 2 million is too much?” Pan Han said.

“Got it. It’s enough for meals and favors. When everyone is assembled, the contracts will be calculated separately.”

“Okay, let’s go. You drive the car; I’ll take a taxi to Wang Doudou’s place.”

The two of them quickly finished all the food in a few bites and went their separate ways.

An hour later, Pan Han appeared at Wang Doudou’s house.

“You’re here! Where’s your car?” Wang Doudou saw Pan Han arrive by taxi.

“Xiaoli drove it away; she had to meet someone, and it’s inconvenient without a car.”

“Alright, you drive the maybach then.” Wang Doudou directly shoved the keys into his hand.

Pan Han didn’t decline, asking directly: “Are the experimental results out?”

“Yes! They stayed up all night yesterday, and the results came out this morning.”

“How are they?”

“Very shocking! I estimate that the global medical community is about to open a new chapter.” Wang Doudou, having been exposed to it, knew a little about the industry situation.

“Is the confidentiality handled well?” Pan Han only cared about this. After all, he had long been prepared for a new chapter in the medical world.

“Don’t worry, only the old-timers who have followed my father for many years know.”

“What’s the next step?”

“They’re still in a meeting. They told me to find you first. They’ll probably call you over soon.”

“No problem.”

“However, I need to give you a heads-up.” Wang Doudou suddenly changed the subject.

“What?” Pan Han was startled.

“They are all old foxes. During negotiations, they won’t go easy on you just because you saved me. You’d better think about your conditions and bargaining chips first.” Wang Doudou suddenly reverted to her domineering female CEO demeanor.

“I understand, business is business. Actually, I’ve already thought about it.” Pan Han winked at Wang Doudou.

“Oh? Is that so?”

“I just want money. I’m not interested in anything else.”

“You don’t want shares? You don’t want a position?” Wang Doudou raised an eyebrow, somewhat disbelieving.

“No interest. My ambition isn’t here. As for how you price it and how you operate, I believe you are more professional. Professional matters should be handled by professionals to go far.” Pan Han simply didn’t have the energy to manage this; he just wanted to get more money so he could build his own closed loop. It would also save him the trouble of constantly finding places to exchange gold, which was quite bothersome, and he also had to pay Wang Cheng a fee.

Thinking of Wang Cheng, Pan Han suddenly remembered the system’s prompt: Could he be the one who is supposed to die?

After this period of thought, Pan Han’s cross-world closed loop had initially taken shape.

Transporting gold, oil, technology, and machinery from the apocalypse to build his own country and commercial empire in his world.

Then, producing food and weapons directly from his own country for use in the apocalypse. He roughly estimated that the hot weapons in his world would be sufficient for the apocalypse’s development. As long as old monsters like advanced evolvers didn’t appear, pure tank and artillery overwhelming would be no problem.

If there really were advanced evolvers or mecha army enemies, he could just transport two nuclear bombs over.

No matter how powerful these guys in the apocalypse were, could they be stronger than nuclear weapons?

As for how to transport nuclear bombs, that would need to be considered after he became an Intermediate Evolver.

There would definitely be a way by then. If it really didn’t work, he would just air-drop a nuclear weapons depot, put it into his space, and quickly cross over.

In short, the two worlds would form a virtuous circle of mutual complementarity, with him in the middle, as long as there were no hitches.

Whether it was the apocalypse or the real world, they might make a killing, but he would never lose!

“Pan Han, you are so mysterious!” Wang Doudou was stunned for a moment, slowly squeezing out a few words.

“I know.” This wasn’t the first person to say that, Pan Han shrugged, indicating he accepted it.

“If you only want money, then it’s easy. We can just negotiate a percentage split. With me here, I can guarantee the process won’t have any problems. No one will dare to embezzle your money.” Wang Doudou brought the topic back to cooperation.

“That’s exactly what I intended. My time is relatively tight, so you can help me keep an eye on this going forward. I won’t participate in the operation.”

“Is that appropriate?” Wang Doudou felt that this matter was significant, and entrusting it entirely to her was somewhat improper.

“What’s inappropriate about it? You’re your family’s only child, right?”

“Yes! Why?”

“Then who will inherit your family’s huge enterprise in the future?”

“It should be me.”

“How will you command respect? Will the old-timers who fought alongside your father listen to you?”

“I haven’t considered that yet; I’ve just been playing around these past few years.” Wang Doudou slapped her forehead.

“If you use this project to achieve results, won’t you smoothly take over in the future?” Pan Han had thought one step further than Wang Doudou.

“Don’t worry. If this business takes off, it will be at least a ten-billion-level enterprise. By then, they won’t be able to refuse even if they want to.” Pan Han patted Wang Doudou’s shoulder, and a warm current spread throughout her body.

“Thank you, Pan Han! I will do well.” Wang Doudou nodded seriously.

“No problem, you might make a killing, but I will never lose. I give you full authorization; go boldly and do it.” Pan Han spoke plainly but gave Wang Doudou infinite encouragement.

At this moment, there was the sound of a car at the villa entrance.

Old Master Wang directly led his team back to find Pan Han.
