22: If I can find them, I lose.

That night, Pan Han and Yan Xiaoli had an intense exchange.

Pan Han didn't wake up until 10 AM the next morning; he had expended too much energy, and his lower back still ached faintly.

He opened his eyes and saw Yan Xiaoli combing her hair, as if nothing had happened.

There are only oxen that work themselves to death, never fields that are tilled to ruin.

Pan Han wasn't in a hurry to get up. He stretched, rubbed his face, and then touched his little brother.

"You're awake!" Yan Xiaoli heard the movement and turned to look at him.

"Hmm. What time did you get up?" Pan Han asked.

"Around 9. You were quite fierce last night!"

"Not at all!"

"Yes, you were, right there."

"Young man, you have a lot of drive, but not much technique. Still a virgin, aren't you?"

"That's right, I can't compare to you. Your mouth, at a glance, shows you've practiced more than just lines."

"This elder sister is a few years older than you, so I've just seen a bit more of the world," Yan Xiaoli said, handing Pan Han a cup of warm water.

"So, how old are you exactly this year?" Pan Han took the cup and touched Yan Xiaoli's smooth, tender hand.

"Asking an actress her age is very impolite."

"What? I'm not in your circle. What's there to be afraid of?" Pan Han knew that actresses in the entertainment industry basically all concealed or misrepresented their ages.

"I'll tell you next time. If you want to know my age, go back and practice hard, make this elder sister comfortable, and I might tell you." Yan Xiaoli still put him off.

"Next time, let's change locations. This kang is a bit hard. Let's find a softer, bigger bed," Pan Han said, rubbing his lower back again.

"Hehehe!" Yan Xiaoli let out a cheerful laugh.

Pan Han checked his watch, then got out of bed and got dressed. After eating some bread, he took Yan Xiaoli and left.

At noon, Yan Xiaoli had an appointment with a friend to discuss a role. The two of them parted ways in the city.

Pan Han first parked his car in a supermarket parking lot. He took Fat Tiger's phone out of his spatial storage.

However, he couldn't open it without a password.

In a fit of anger, Pan Han directly chopped off Fat Tiger's palm and then, using his mind, drained the blood from it in the spatial storage.

But there were too many people in the parking lot. He hid in a nearby restroom, locked the door, took out Fat Tiger's palm, and unlocked the phone.

It worked!

Pan Han scrolled through Fat Tiger's WeChat and, sure enough, found conversations with Wang Cheng.

However, their conversations seemed to be riddles, mostly phrases like "the matter is handled."

It seemed these two knew not to leave too much evidence.

But, from between the lines of their conversation, it felt like this wasn't the first time they had done something like this.

"Damn it, that dog Wang Cheng, who knows how many people he's harmed before. Today, I'm going to deal with him," Pan Han said fiercely.

Without delay, Pan Han started the M5 and drove straight to the pawn shop.

...

Wang Cheng felt somewhat uncomfortable at the pawn shop today. His eyelid kept twitching, and he was constantly breaking out in a cold sweat.

Last night, he hadn't received a reply from Fat Tiger, and this morning, he couldn't get through to Fat Tiger's phone.

A bad feeling crept into his heart. He was about to make a cup of coffee to refresh himself.

"Manager Wang, I'm back!"

Wang Cheng shuddered all over, turning his head sharply. Who else could it be but Pan Han??

"Oh, isn't this President Pan? You're here again!" Wang Cheng quickly composed himself and went to greet him.

"Manager Wang, today I'm here to discuss an even bigger deal with you. Let's go, let's find a quiet place."

"Alright, alright, this way, please."

Wang Cheng led Pan Han towards the VIP negotiation room, but Pan Han shook his head, motioning to go outside.

The VIP room definitely had cameras, making it inconvenient to talk.

Wang Cheng's heart sank, feeling an even worse premonition. But he couldn't refuse, so he had to follow Pan Han outside.

The two walked out of the pawn shop and came to a relatively quiet roadside.

Wang Cheng was quite awkward but still had to force a smile at Pan Han: "President Pan, why do we need to talk outside?"

"Wait a moment, I'll make a call." Pan Han pulled out Fat Tiger's phone and called Wang Cheng.

Ring, ring, ring!

Wang Cheng took out his own phone, saw the number, and instantly froze.

"Manager Wang, your scheme is quite well-arranged!" Pan Han said viciously.

Wang Cheng saw that the matter was exposed, felt a bit flustered, and was momentarily speechless.

"Manager Wang, do you have anything to explain?" Pan Han asked when Wang Cheng didn't speak.

"Misunderstanding, misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding, President Pan," Wang Cheng stammered.

"Alright, alright. This isn't the first or second time you've done this."

"Oh, President Pan, this really is all a misunderstanding." Wang Cheng planned to deny it to the death.

"Don't be nervous, Manager Wang," Pan Han said with a hint of amusement.

"I, I'm not nervous," Wang Cheng said, thinking that he was definitely going to be in trouble today. This President Pan was a tough nut to crack.

"Then let's speak frankly," Pan Han said.

"Just tell me what you need," Wang Cheng said.

"I know what you want, and you probably know what I want. Why don't we continue to cooperate? I give you things, and you give me money. I can even give you a bit more. What do you think?" Pan Han said.

"Huh? President Pan, are you not joking with me?" Wang Cheng said.

"Why would I joke with you? You're looking for money, and so am I. You help me sell goods, and it saves me trouble. I'm too lazy to find anyone else," Pan Han said seriously.

"Alright, President Pan, no problem. You have connections and methods; you clearly look like someone who does big business. If I can follow you and get a share, that truly is you elevating me." Wang Cheng's spirits immediately lifted upon hearing this.

"Just stick to your rules. Don't ask too many questions, and don't be too greedy," Pan Han warned.

"That's for sure. Since President Pan has spoken so frankly, we are on the same boat now," Wang Cheng said.

"That's good. Today, I'm still selling gold bars. Help me sell 10 million worth. I'll give you an extra 50,000 as a bonus," Pan Han said.

"Oh, thank you so much, President Pan. Come inside, I'll process it for you right away." Wang Cheng's face lit up with joy, hearing he would get 50,000 just like that.

Pan Han was about to leave when Wang Cheng stopped him again.

"President Pan, I don't mean anything else. I just wanted to ask, how are Fat Tiger and the others doing?" Wang Cheng dared to ask.

"If you can find them, I lose, and I'll give you an extra 3 million," Pan Han said coldly.

Wang Cheng's neck felt cold upon hearing this. People like him, petty thieves, could bully the weak. But once the opponent was stronger than him, he would immediately kneel and act like a dog.

"No, no, I don't want to find them. Hehe, President Pan, let's go do business," Wang Cheng said with a fawning smile.

And so, the two returned to the VIP room, one after the other.

Half an hour later, Pan Han received the 10 million payment. He walked out of the pawn shop, satisfied.

On the way back, Pan Han pondered. Wang Cheng was still useful for now. If he went to a regular gold shop to sell the goods, he would definitely be investigated. It was better to continue dealing with Wang Cheng for now. Once his own company was established and all transactions were normal and smooth, then he would deal with Wang Cheng.

"Little guy, I'll let you keep your dog life for now. When the time comes, I'll send you to the apocalypse to be zombie fodder," Pan Han muttered to himself.
