448: Reward 10 billion Eagle Sauce Coins

The Knight Order's Bodyguard Captain's eyelids had been twitching wildly for the past few minutes.

He took a trembling drag of his cigarette, and only then did the ominous premonition slowly subside.

Since returning from Ellie Island, he had been nervously throwing himself into the construction of the Myanmar Northern Region.

Military training was already on the right track, and large numbers of construction workers and equipment were being shipped in one after another; he was responsible for arranging their food, clothing, housing, and daily needs.

"After Ellie left, I don't know who will be responsible for such a huge project." He flicked away his cigarette butt and was just about to head back inside when he felt a cold gust of wind strike from behind.

Not good!

The vigilance honed over many years made the Bodyguard Captain instinctively duck and dodge.

A dagger grazed his scalp as it swept past the back of his head, the sharp blade slicing off a few strands of hair.

The Bodyguard Captain rolled on the ground, put several meters of distance between them, and drew his gun in one fluid motion.

"It's you!"

Upon seeing the attacker, the Bodyguard Captain let out an exclamation.

"That's right!" The attacker was actually the Vice Captain. He gripped the dagger with a backhand, held it horizontally in front of his chest, and gritted his teeth as he spoke.

"Why?" The Bodyguard Captain had worked with him for seven or eight years, and their relationship had always been good; who could have imagined that he would try to assassinate him today?

"I'm sorry, Captain. The Knight Order is about to change, and I have no choice." The Vice Captain's expression was clearly distorted, hiding a trace of reluctance.

"Whose orders are you following?" The Bodyguard Captain's gaze sharpened. He knew that today was a life-or-death situation, and if he could know the truth before dying, he would have no regrets.

"Does it matter?" The Vice Captain took a step forward, closing the distance to less than five meters from the Bodyguard Captain.

Within five meters, whether the gun is faster or the blade is faster depends on who is more skilled.

"If it were the Cult Leader who wanted me dead, perhaps we could both be at ease."

"The Cult Leader? No one even knows where he is now. And you're still thinking about him!" Mentioning Pan Han, the Vice Captain snorted coldly.

"I understand! Let's do it."

Having said this much, how could the Bodyguard Captain not understand the situation?

Someone in the Knight Order wanted to rebel!

"Wait!"

A voice came from the room; it was none other than Pan Han!

He had heard the entire conversation just now. It seemed the two gunmen who had tried to assassinate him earlier were also from the Knight Order.

Upon hearing the voice, the Bodyguard Captain and the Vice Captain were both stunned in their tracks.

Pan Han slowly came out of the room, arrived beside the Bodyguard Captain, and said with a smile, "Captain, I've arrived at just the right time, haven't I?"

"Cult Leader!" The Bodyguard Captain immediately holstered his gun and saluted.

"That's enough, that's enough." Pan Han waved his hand, his gaze fixed on the person opposite him.

"Vice Captain, are you going to confess yourself, or should I help you confess?"

"Ah... Cult Leader!" The Vice Captain was flustered, never having expected Pan Han to arrive just in time.

"Speak up. Who sent you?" Pan Han frowned slightly, radiating a powerful pressure.

The Vice Captain immediately felt as if his legs were filled with lead; his whole body went cold, and his hands wouldn't obey him.

Seeing this, the Bodyguard Captain strode forward, disarmed him of his dagger, and then pressed his gun against the back of his head.

"Cult Leader, just kill me." The Vice Captain spoke with difficulty.

"Don't be in such a rush. You'll die sooner or later, but you need to explain things clearly first." Pan Han walked up to the Vice Captain, his cold, piercing eyes staring straight at him.

Just like that, the other party broke down.

"Cult Leader, you need to leave quickly. The Three Elders are all coming after you now. They have all rebelled." The Vice Captain said, sounding like he was about to cry.

"Damn it, it really is those three old bastards." Before Pan Han could speak, the Bodyguard Captain started cursing.

"Hmm, so that's how it is. The eagle sauce really isn't doing it themselves anymore. They've changed to letting us kill each other." Pan Han nodded; all the problems were basically clear now.

"Cult Leader, you alone cannot deal with the entire Knight Order. You must leave quickly." The Vice Captain seemed to know something more, but he didn't elaborate.

"Vice Captain, what about you? Do you also want to deal with me?" Pan Han sneered.

"This..." The Vice Captain hesitated; he hadn't expected Pan Han to ask that.

"Speak!" The Bodyguard Captain nudged him.

"Cult Leader, Captain, although I don't have children, I have an elderly mother." After saying this, the Vice Captain lowered his head in sorrow.

Upon hearing this, the Bodyguard Captain nodded at Pan Han. He knew the situation at the Vice Captain's home and knew he wasn't lying.

"If the assassination fails, what will happen to you and your elderly mother?" Pan Han withdrew his pressure, allowing the Vice Captain to feel slightly more comfortable.

"Heh, if it fails, either I die, or we both die."

"Very well, that's very Knight Order of you." Pan Han sneered.

"Cult Leader, I'll be taking my leave then. Remember to check the bounty list. Good luck." After saying this, the Vice Captain jumped from the building.

He landed on his head and was dead as could be.

"Damn! Those old bastards, they wouldn't play it this ruthlessly, would they?" The Bodyguard Captain immediately returned to the room and took out his dedicated mobile phone.

In front of Pan Han, he opened a special software, and the bounty list appeared prominently.

Assassination Target: Pan Han; Bounty Amount: 10 billion eagle sauce coins.

The Bodyguard Captain looked at the time—it had been posted just five minutes ago—and he gasped sharply.

"Only 10 billion? Am I that worthless?" Pan Han sneered.

"Cult Leader, you must leave quickly." After a moment of silence, the Bodyguard Captain spoke up.

He knew that once a bounty was issued, there would always be greedy people who weren't afraid of death coming for it.

"Captain, do you want to take this 10 billion?" Pan Han chuckled.

"Haha, Cult Leader, why don't you take a closer look? Scroll down."

The Bodyguard Captain handed the phone to Pan Han.

Pan Han took it, scrolled down one page on the bounty list screen, and sure enough, the Bodyguard Captain's name and amount were also on it.

"I see. No wonder the Vice Captain even wanted to kill you."

The Bodyguard Captain nodded. He hadn't seen his own bounty earlier, but based on his years of service experience, he knew he would certainly be on the list.

"How much grain is there in the Myanmar Northern Region now?" Pan Han returned the phone to the Bodyguard Captain and instead asked an unrelated question.

"Huh? Roughly one hundred thousand tons or so." The Bodyguard Captain recalled that Pan Han had previously instructed him to transport grain regularly, but he had been busy with other things lately and had completely forgotten about this task.

"One hundred thousand tons?"

Pan Han frowned. He had now unified the four states, with a population of about 2 million.

If each person is allocated 200 kilograms per year, that's about 400,000 tons. One hundred thousand tons would support them for four months, or at most half a year if used sparingly.

"It seems those old guys have stopped this."

"Forget it, whatever there is, there is."

Pan Han sighed, turned around, and said, "Captain, I'm going to transport supplies. Take care of yourself."

"Don't worry, Commander, not everyone here wants to take this money. I'll go into hiding first." The Bodyguard Captain nodded, but his eyes were full of worry.

"Good, try your best to wait for my return. We'll turn everything upside down." Pan Han pulled out a dozen or so sets of Primary Evolution Potion from his space and handed them to the Bodyguard Captain.

"Cult Leader, what is this?"

"After you've hidden, drink it in the order of yellow, green, and blue."

"Yes, Cult Leader." The Bodyguard Captain put away the potion. Although Pan Han didn't say, he could vaguely feel that this item was extraordinary and might be related to improving physical fitness.

"This is the Evolution Potion. You drink it first, and after the evolution is complete, go and gather those who are willing to follow me. Have them take it as well," Pan Han instructed finally.

"Evolution Potion? Yes! Cult Leader." The Bodyguard Captain replied excitedly. He had long suspected that Pan Han had taken a similar potion, and sure enough, he had guessed correctly.
