472: First wave of attacks

If you were a soldier in charge of launching nuclear weapons, what would you do when you received the order to launch?

As long as they are launched, the world will immediately follow into destruction.

Can you bear the immense pressure of destroying humanity?

However, isn't a soldier who resolutely executes orders an important component in ensuring nuclear balance?

If the enemy knew you would choose not to launch, wouldn't the mutual threat become ineffective?

Therefore, a soldier who resolutely executes orders is the last line of defense ensuring mutual destruction, preventing anyone from acting rashly.

Moreover, the nuclear launch process is well-perfected; duty soldiers have no way of knowing if today is a live launch or a drill.

The instructions they receive are not written in black and white with the word 'launch,' but rather a long string of code.

Duty soldiers only need to follow the procedure; once they fail to execute an order, someone will immediately replace them.

And this soldier will be taken away for isolated interrogation, or even possibly sent to a military tribunal.

More importantly, these drills happen every day, just to ensure that duty soldiers become emotionless launch machines.

National defense weapons, from the moment they are designed, must minimize human emotional fluctuation.

Billions of lives are in their hands; this is no joke!

Captain Thomas is one such duty officer; an hour ago, he received a combat readiness order.

He put on all his equipment as fast as he could and sat down at the console.

This nuclear submarine has now surfaced to the launch position, and the entire crew is nervously waiting for orders.

This scene plays out inside the submarine every so often; everyone is busy and orderly, but not that nervous.

Suddenly, Thomas felt his soul leave his body, floating above it, and immediately after, he lost control of his body.

'What is happening?'

Thomas looked at his own head and the hands resting on the console, trying desperately to make himself move.

But despite struggling for a long time, he did not succeed.

He turned his head to look at everyone else and discovered that everyone was similar to him, with a translucent human figure floating above their heads.

'What is happening!'

He shouted at his colleagues again, but was surprised to find he couldn't make a sound.

Absurd! Terrifying! This is just f***ing ridiculous!

The next second, everyone inside the submarine felt the hull shake violently and begin to surface rapidly.

But everyone was still unable to move a muscle, and countless figures struggled in shock.

In the sky, several strategic bombers taking off for patrol also suddenly shook violently.

The weapons operator responsible for guarding the nuclear bombs also lost control of his body.

But he watched helplessly as the huge nuclear bomb disappeared into thin air!

'What the f***!'

The operator's translucent figure opened its mouth, but unfortunately, it couldn't make a sound.

At a certain land-based nuclear missile silo of the Eagle Nation, the duty crew also had their souls leave their bodies.

And through the monitors, they witnessed the intercontinental missiles disappearing into thin air!

'Oh God! Are you punishing humanity?'

'F***! What exactly is going on?'

...

At The Pentagon, in the combat command center, the President was informed that all nuclear weapons were gone and had lost control!

'Damn it! This guy was telling the truth!'

Only now did the President believe that Pan Han not only had the ability to sink all aircraft carriers but also the ability to destroy the Blue Planet!

What? What is the Eagle Nation anyway? The Eagle Nation is not worth mentioning in front of Pan Han!

He is a demon!

Suddenly, Pan Han's face flashed on the big screen on the wall.

He had just finished checking his space, and all of the Eagle Nation's nuclear bombs were neatly stacked inside.

'Refreshing!'

He composed himself slightly and said to the screen, 'Mr. President. Prepare to welcome destruction.'

'No! You can't do this! Ellie, hurry and stop him!'

The President screamed, shouted, and cried!

Who knew that Ellie would actually type on the public screen: 'Mr. President, after my analysis, the opponent's strength far exceeds our range of response; I suggest surrender.'

'Hey! What a coincidence, your artificial intelligence is actually called Ellie.' After Pan Han invaded the network, he noticed Ellie's existence and had an interesting exchange with it.

Unexpectedly, Ellie actually directly suggested that the Eagle Nation surrender; it seems it is quite sensible.

'Ellie! What are you saying? The Eagle Nation will absolutely not accept surrender! Never!'

The Chief of the General Staff came to the console; he wanted to cut off Ellie's command authority.

'Chief of the General Staff, you may take over command, but unfortunately, the outcome is already determined. I advise you to be kind.' Ellie emitted a cold electronic voice, speaking without any emotion.

'Your mission is over. Goodbye.' The Chief of the General Staff said, then pressed the button.

Ellie was locked in the terminal and could no longer run at all.

'Stupid humans!' Ellie sighed.

Pan Han's image was still there; he had witnessed all of this and smiled, saying, 'Old man, it's useless.'

'Where did you take all our nuclear weapons?'

The Chief of the General Staff asked angrily with a cold face.

'I can tell you, but after knowing the truth, you must die. Is this a fair trade?'

'This...' The Chief of the General Staff absolutely did not expect that Pan Han would actually give such an answer.

'Don't be impulsive! Let me talk to him.' Seeing this, the President held down the Chief of the General Staff and said.

'Who the hell do you think you are!'

Pan Han couldn't help but laugh when he heard this; he had given them a chance before, but they didn't seize it, and now they were coming out to act tough.

It seems that this 'calling me Grandpa' thing needs to be persisted with!

'Stop struggling. Just wait and watch the live broadcast.' After he finished speaking, the screen switched to Pan Han's first-person perspective.

The white clouds dispersed, and the President and the others saw an aircraft carrier strike group appear on the screen.

Looks familiar! It's their own!

The next second, the screen switched to the seabed.

A huge explosion sound reached the combat command room, and the perspective changed again, looking up at the sea surface from the seabed.

The aircraft carrier had already been cut in half, turning into two pieces, and the huge impact caused the weapons warehouse to explode.

Countless soldiers were swept a hundred meters into the air by the blast wave, and severed limbs kept falling.

'I have to say, you Eagle Nation people are just unreasonable. You insist on using nuclear power for aircraft carriers. If this thing falls into the sea, it pollutes the environment so much!'

Pan Han's voice actually ignored the seawater and easily reached the command room.

The next second, the nuclear reactor appeared on the screen, but immediately disappeared.

Naturally, it was taken into Pan Han's space.

This thing is also quite good; taking it to the apocalypse to use as a generator is quite reasonable, right.

From the screen switching to the first-person view, to the aircraft carrier exploding, less than a second had passed.

The people in the command room had no time to react, nor any chance to be surprised.

Because the surrounding destroyers, supply ships, and nuclear submarines were also exploding.

Pan Han flew from the sea into the air, taking the President and the others to admire his masterpiece.

The sea surface was covered in ship wreckage, with raging fires burning wantonly on the water.

Fighter jets were scattered everywhere, and surviving soldiers were struggling desperately in the sea.

'Are you satisfied this time!'

Pan Han's voice was cold yet intimate, kind yet cruel.

Inside the command room, there was silence, you could hear a pin drop!

Gradually, everyone shed tears; the Eagle Nation Empire, which had dominated the Blue Planet for over a hundred years, was falling right before their eyes.
