59: There is no more Iron Gang in the world

After crossing over, Pan Han returned to his shared apartment.

He looked at the detonator in his hand, his heart still trembling a little; it was his first time to kill so many people, and he still needed some psychological preparation.

However, since he had already acted, there was no turning back.

Pan Han put the detonator back into his space, went straight to the bathroom, and decided to take a bath before returning.

...

Three kilometers away, Qin Zhong and Cheng Xiao each held a pair of binoculars, nervously staring at the Iron Gang base.

A mushroom cloud soared into the sky, countless severed limbs flew into the air, accompanied by a large amount of rubble, dirt, and truck parts. Then, a huge explosion sound reached their ears, and the Iron Gang was engulfed in a cloud of smoke and dust.

Cheng Xiao was greatly shocked by the immense power of the explosion; she worried that Pan Han might not escape.

"Big Brother, should we charge?" She was already impatient to rush in and rescue him.

"Heshang, drive!" Qin Zhong pulled back and patted Wei Monk, who was in the driver's seat.

The off-road vehicle's engine roared, and its rear wheels immediately spun in place, kicking up a large cloud of dust as it sped towards the Iron Gang base.

Qin Zhong and Cheng Xiao re-checked their weapons, their rifle magazines were fully loaded, handguns were cocked, and they even prepared a steel helmet and bulletproof vest specifically for Pan Han.

"Heshang, when we reach the base, don't get out of the car. Stay vigilant with your gun and keep the vehicle running. Cheng Xiao and I will go in; be ready to evacuate us at any time."

"Understood!" Wei Monk floored the accelerator.

At this moment, various objects that had flown into the sky began to fall, hitting the off-road vehicle with a clatter.

A thick severed arm smashed onto the windshield, instantly cracking the glass.

"Don't worry about it, just keep driving," Qin Zhong reminded Wei Monk.

Wei Monk turned on the wipers, sweeping away various blood, internal organs, and dust.

When they were still 30 meters from the base, Wei Monk braked, and Qin Zhong and Cheng Xiao rushed out before the car had even come to a complete stop.

The two figures moved at their maximum speed.

At this time, the main gate of the Iron Gang base had long since flown to who knows where, and a large section of the surrounding wall had been blown down by the shockwave.

The two headed straight for the central plaza.

In the plaza, there were almost no complete bodies to be seen, only blood-soaked internal organs and heads everywhere. The three-story building was also half-collapsed from the explosion, with shattered glass covering the ground.

Qin Zhong gave Cheng Xiao a look, and the two began to search separately.

Pan Han had only started his actions after they had left, so they didn't know his exact location. They could only start by searching the piles of bodies in the plaza.

Those closest to the truck had been completely obliterated by the explosion, while those relatively further away only had some severed limbs remaining.

A very few individuals, though missing limbs, were still alive, now only able to curse and scream in pain.

Qin Zhong focused his search on Xiang Xiu, believing that Pan Han was most likely with Xiang Xiu. Therefore, finding Xiang Xiu would greatly increase the chances of finding Pan Han.

Indeed, he quickly discovered a pair of severed legs standing upright on the ground; judging by the shoes, they belonged to Xiang Xiu. However, the severed limbs nearby were all very large, unlike Pan Han's.

Cheng Xiao, meanwhile, searched for people while also finishing off the surviving Iron Gang members.

The two were extremely tense, neither speaking. Only when they checked someone and found it wasn't Pan Han could they slightly relax.

After searching for about 10 minutes, the two met up, both saying they hadn't found him.

"Not finding him is also good news; it means Lord Pan should still be alive," Qin Zhong said gravely.

"I just roughly counted, there should be about a hundred people. All of the Iron Gang members should have come," Cheng Xiao reported.

"Ah! It hurts!"

Just then, a shrill scream came from inside the three-story building.

Qin Zhong and Cheng Xiao immediately got up and rushed towards the source of the sound.

"I'll f*** your ancestors, Pan Han, you insidious bastard!" Another curse followed.

This person was none other than He Yong, who had been waiting at the bathroom door. He was now pinned down by a large beam, his body broken into two sections.

He had been knocked unconscious by the shockwave and had only just been awakened by the pain.

Upon waking, he found that the explosion was so horrific that all the gang members, Ruo Ying, and Xiang Xiu were gone. His body was solidly covered in a mixture of dust and blood.

Even he, as foolish as he was, knew that Pan Han was behind it. Grief and pain assailed his mind, and looking down at himself, he saw he was already split into two sections.

Just as he tried to move, Qin Zhong and Cheng Xiao arrived. Seeing that he was still alive, they quickly knelt down to examine him.

"He Yong! Where is Lord Pan?" Cheng Xiao asked while pulling him.

It would have been better if He Yong hadn't heard; upon hearing Pan Han's name, he immediately spat out a mouthful of black blood.

"Seventh Sister, don't move him yet. If you pull him out, he might die instantly," Qin Zhong, realizing the situation was dire, quickly stopped Cheng Xiao.

Qin Zhong took a piece of gauze from his pocket, wiped away He Yong's blood, and then cleared away the debris on and under him.

"He Yong, He Yong, where is Lord Pan?"

"Pan your ancestors! You beasts!" He Yong cursed venomously.

"Never mind him, search!" Qin Zhong left He Yong.

At this point, it was difficult to clearly see the specific rooms inside the building, and the bathroom where Pan Han had hidden was also deformed by the shockwave. The two could only search the relatively intact areas first.

They searched up and down for over ten minutes, finding neither a living person nor a single body.

"Strange! There's no clue at all. He couldn't have been blown to pieces, could he?" Qin Zhong said to Cheng Xiao.

Cheng Xiao pondered for a moment after hearing this, then slowly shook her head; she also didn't believe Pan Han had been blown to pieces.

"Heshang, Heshang!" Qin Zhong picked up the walkie-talkie.

"Understood, Qin Laoda!"

"We haven't found Lord Pan inside. You check around the base outside for any clues."

"Understood!"

"Big Brother, what should we do?" Cheng Xiao was a little at a loss.

"Keep searching!"

The two searched for another ten minutes or so, still finding nothing.

An ominous premonition surrounded Cheng Xiao's heart.

She grew increasingly anxious, constantly flipping over large precast slabs, wanting to see if Pan Han was pinned underneath.

"Ah! Even as a ghost, I won't let you go!" He Yong suddenly screamed, then spat blood and died. Cheng Xiao was enraged upon hearing this, rushed over, and furiously kicked him several times.

"Let you be a ghost, let you be a ghost! Go to hell!" Cheng Xiao kicked and cursed, and after a few kicks, she began to sob.

"Big Brother, is Lord Pan... gone?" Cheng Xiao looked at Qin Zhong, tears streaming down her face.

Qin Zhong's face was heavy; he vaguely felt that there was no hope left!

Just then, a familiar voice came from the bathroom!

"Holy crap! Who the hell locked the door!"

It was Pan Han; he had crossed back!

"Lord Pan!" Qin Zhong and Cheng Xiao exclaimed in unison! Their eyes locked onto the bathroom's location, and they rushed over.

Pan Han had been back for half a minute; he heard Cheng Xiao crying, so he tidied his newly washed hair and called out.

"I'm here! Quickly help me open the door." Pan Han pounded a few times to help them pinpoint his location.

"Behind this door," Qin Zhong said, pointing to the iron bathroom door.

Cheng Xiao took a crowbar from her back and handed it to Qin Zhong.

Qin Laoda took it, found a good spot, and with a sudden forceful pull, pried open a small gap in the door. The two struggled to pull the door open and looked inside.

Pan Han stood before them, completely unharmed.

Cheng Xiao immediately dropped everything and rushed over, embracing Pan Han tightly.

Qin Zhong remained where he was, knowing that Pan Han was safe!

"Didn't I tell you long ago that I would be fine!" Pan Han couldn't help but flick Cheng Xiao's nose and then wiped away her tears.

"I was worried about you!" Cheng Xiao no longer cared about her pride and admitted it directly.

"Alright, tonight I'll let you thoroughly check my body," Pan Han said with a smile.

"Lord, Seventh Sister! This is no place to linger, let's retreat quickly!"

"Yes, yes! Lord, let's go quickly!" Cheng Xiao pulled Pan Han and ran out.

"Heshang, Heshang, quickly get back in the car! We've found Lord Pan! Prepare to retreat," Qin Zhong called out on the walkie-talkie.

The three quickly ran out of the building and crossed the plaza. Pan Han was deeply shocked by the immense power of the explosion he witnessed.

Only when they were in the car did Qin Zhong and Cheng Xiao finally relax.

Pan Han gazed at the ruins and slowly said, "From now on, there will be no Iron Gang in this world!"
