473: Surrender and lose half
"Think of something, quick!" The President, acting like a madman, grabbed the Chief of the General Staff by the collar and slapped him hard.
The Chief of the General Staff, who had been acting all high and mighty just a moment ago, was now completely blank-minded, stunned into silence.
Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?
The Chief of the General Staff had imagined ten thousand ways for an aircraft carrier to be sunk, but never one like this—being rammed and snapped in half.
This was completely beyond what any human could do!
The President's slap jolted him out of his shock, and he stammered out a single word: "Run!"
Run? Where to? Didn't you see how far Pan Han could fly in a single second just now?
Just as the President and the Chief of the General Staff were having their "friendly" exchange, the big screen switched images again.
Pan Han appeared above the next aircraft carrier strike group.
Following Pan Han's perspective, everyone in the room could see the fighter jets waiting for takeoff on the deck.
At this moment, the Chief of the General Staff reacted, picked up the intercom, and shouted: "All carrier fighter jets, launch immediately! Save as many as you can!"
High in the sky, Pan Han smiled disdainfully, thinking, "You're still the one, you little smarty-pants."
Unfortunately, a god doesn't care!
Less than ten seconds after the order reached the carrier, the fighter jets had already engaged their afterburners, preparing to take off.
The catapults were filled with steam, the director lowered his arm, and just as they were about to launch...
The people on the carrier felt their scalps tingle as a wave of overwhelming terror descended upon them.
Everyone looked up.
A streak of fire descended from the sky. Before anyone could see what was happening, the aircraft carrier was once again snapped in half.
The terminal velocity of this impact exceeded Mach 20; Pan Han's body passed through as easily as a steel needle piercing tofu.
Such high speed brought immense energy, directly detonating the ammunition magazine.
The two fighter jets that were just preparing to launch didn't manage to escape and sank into the ocean along with it.
The familiar recipe, the familiar taste!
It was just so damn overwhelming.
The escort destroyer nearby hadn't even reacted.
The commander of the carrier strike group in the destroyer's command room watched the scene before him, dumbstruck.
A few minutes ago, he had received the news that other aircraft carriers had sunk; he didn't expect it to be his turn so soon!
Could it be the Dragon Kingdom's anti-carrier express delivery?
That shouldn't be right!
The Pentagon hadn't issued any such notification!
They had undergone relevant training before; if it were an anti-carrier express, the fleet would have a contingency plan!
He had barely finished thinking about these questions when Pan Han launched another attack from under the sea.
All escort warships were sunk!
Leaving absolutely no room for anything, every word was as good as gold!
In the command room, the President and the others watched the carrier fleet sink yet again.
They had lost their minds.
"Mr. President, let's surrender!"
The Chief of the General Staff was the first to speak. As a soldier, he knew this war couldn't be fought.
Surrendering might just mean losing half.
"If I resign now, is it too late?"
The President smiled eerily; he had lost his mind a bit to actually say something like that.
"Old man, you're overthinking it! This blame is yours to carry!"
The Chief of the General Staff looked around; everyone was wearing an eerie smile, so he nodded and said.
Suddenly, Pan Han's voice came through again: "Friend, you're overthinking it!"
The President stopped pretending and shouted at the screen: "We surrender! We agree to all your conditions!"
"Surrender? And you're the President! Is your brain in your ass?"
Pan Han showed a speechless expression, his eyes piercing through the vast sky, through the screen, and onto the President's face.
The white-haired old man couldn't even keep his footing and stumbled backward.
"What exactly do you want?!"
"Friend! You should feel proud and happy! Why are you so gloomy?"
"What do you mean?"
"Eleven aircraft carriers, they're definitely gone. But this is precisely the greatest respect for you!"
As soon as Pan Han said this, the President and the others seemed to understand something.
A certain sci-fi writer from the Dragon Kingdom once said that completely annihilating an enemy is the greatest respect for them.
Great powers do not have the option of surrender.
With your scale, if they don't kill you, they can't sleep!
Seeing that everyone looked thoughtful, Pan Han nodded, quite satisfied.
So he began the next round of attacks.
The third, the fourth, the fifth...
Seven minutes later, the remaining nine aircraft carrier strike groups were completely destroyed.
Even the fighter jets that had taken off were taken out by Pan Han using optimal attack trajectories.
In less than ten minutes, the navy that Eagle Sauce was so proud of, the most powerful in the world, was destroyed in one fell swoop.
Over two oceans, over a hundred plumes of black smoke rose up.
Large oil slicks spread across the sea, and the surviving soldiers were frantically calling for help.
Pan Han did not kill these people; his goal had been achieved, and there was no need to kill these small fry.
In the Dragon Kingdom's underground command room, the leaders watched the entire attack operation via satellite.
Watching the arrogant, strongest navy vanish into thin air in an instant, they were filled with mixed feelings and complex emotions.
On one hand, everyone knew Eagle Sauce was finished!
It was impossible for them to restore their nuclear deterrence and massive fleet in a short time.
Even with national mobilization, it would take at least ten years.
This wasn't the WWII era; Eagle Sauce's industrial capacity had long been hollowed out.
They didn't even have enough shipyards and factories.
Not to mention skilled workers, they had been insufficient for a long time!
Moreover, in the subsequent negotiations, Pan Han would likely demand enough benefits, and many high-tech companies would be controlled by him.
But on the other hand, although Pan Han was a citizen of the Dragon Kingdom.
He possessed such heaven-defying abilities that he was a threat to all countries!
When he was in a good mood, anything could be discussed, but if he were in a bad mood one day, who knew what he might do.
This had nothing to do with whether they trusted him or not.
We can trust you, but we would never bet our lives on the possibility that you will remain calm forever.
"Chief One! What should we do?" asked a Dragon Kingdom general.
At this time, the Dragon Kingdom's military was still in a state of high alert; they could strike with a single command.
"What to do? Has anyone here dealt with a god? Tell me," Chief One also hadn't expected Pan Han to be so ferocious.
With his abilities, even if the entire Blue Star combined, they couldn't hurt a single hair on him.
"So we just wait quietly?" The general always felt something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
As a soldier, he had dreamed of defeating Eagle Sauce for decades.
Now that the dream had come true, he didn't know what to do.
Send troops to occupy Eagle Sauce? That didn't seem right!
Send troops to escort Pan Han back? That also didn't seem possible!
"Leaders, no need to be troubled. I'll go negotiate with them in a moment. As long as I get my things back, this matter is closed. How you negotiate afterward is up to you."
Pan Han's voice reached everyone's mind.
"Mr. Pan, could you add one condition?" At this moment, Chief One suddenly spoke to the air.
Obviously, it wasn't just meant for Pan Han to hear.
"Please say it! As long as it's not difficult, I'll do it!" Pan Han didn't hesitate for a moment, blurting it out.
"Make Eagle Sauce withdraw completely from the First Island Chain. We want to take over."
Chief One exhaled; if the Dragon Kingdom had negotiated this condition themselves, they likely could have succeeded.
But if Pan Han asked for it, the cost would be lowest.
"Easy. If they don't withdraw, I have a hundred ways to make them withdraw."
Pan Han also exhaled; he had wondered what the request might be, and he had only said "a hundred ways" to be modest.
