30: I'm not sleepy if you want to talk about this

"Come! Everyone, bottoms up!" Pan Han raised his glass, inviting everyone to toast to today's victory.

The seven people immediately raised their glasses and drank them all in one gulp.

"Mom! I finally get to drink whiskey again!" Sixth Brother said, tears welling up in his eyes.

Hahaha, everyone laughed, and the atmosphere gradually livened up.

"Sixth Brother, then you should drink more tonight. We have plenty of this stuff," Pan Han said.

"Thank you, Sir!" Sixth Brother said, then poured himself another glass.

"Qin Laoda, how much ammunition do we have left?"

Pan Han held his wine glass, speaking and toasting Qin Zhong.

Qin Zhong drank it all, wiped his mouth, and replied, "We only have less than 2,000 rounds of ammunition left, about 40 grenades, and the anti-personnel mines we bought before are all still here."

"Buy more tomorrow. It's best to buy a few automatic weapon stations. We can install one at each of the four corners of our base then."

"Lord Pan, this stuff is expensive. It'll probably cost 200 boxes of canned food per unit."

"It doesn't matter, buy it! We have so many supplies; if we don't have adequate firepower to protect them, we'll just be a lamb waiting to be slaughtered."

"Lord Pan is right. Tomorrow, I'll take some people to the Z City trading center and make a large purchase."

"Look at our supplies, set aside a 10-day supply, and exchange all the rest for weapons."

"Okay."

After drinking two glasses of wine, Pan Han felt a burning sensation in his stomach, so he began to eat and pick up dishes.

The others saw this and knew that Lord Pan couldn't hold his liquor, so they didn't urge him to drink anymore and just drank among themselves.

After barely three sips, Second Sister put down her bowl and chopsticks and walked straight out.

Pan Han was puzzled, but Qin Zhong mimed holding a gun and standing guard, indicating that Second Sister had gone to stand watch.

"You always take turns on watch; let's buy some more surveillance equipment tomorrow. The kind that can automatically alert us if something happens."

"We saw a batch before, but unfortunately, the price was too high, and it consumed a lot of electricity. We'd also need to get a few generators."

"Buy the damn thing!" Pan Han said without hesitation.

"Yes, yes, buy the damn thing."

At this moment, Sixth Brother came over to offer a toast, and Pan Han drank another glass with him. Afterward, Third Brother, Fourth Brother, and Fifth Brother each offered toasts. After a round, only Cheng Xiao was left.

"Cheng Xiao, aren't you drinking?" Pan Han, feeling a bit dizzy, asked casually.

"Sir, I'm afraid drinking will affect my nerves, and then my hands will shake when I shoot," Cheng Xiao replied.

"Oh! A sniper with principles! Very good, it's not easy to survive in the apocalypse, and everyone has their own way of making a living. It's understandable to have convictions. Then you drink cola, and I'll drink wine," Pan Han said with satisfaction.

"Thank you, Lord Pan, for understanding." Cheng Xiao raised her cola and drank a toast with Pan Han.

After drinking, Cheng Xiao quickly picked up two slices of meat and some vegetables for Pan Han, letting him recover.

Pan Han was indeed starting to feel the effects of the alcohol; he had never been much of a drinker, and today he had already exceeded his usual limit.

"Everyone, eat. I'm going upstairs to lie down for a bit. You all drink more and enjoy yourselves," Pan Han felt like he was about to vomit and needed to rest quickly.

"Cheng Xiao, help Lord Pan upstairs," Qin Zhong said.

Cheng Xiao stood up, took Pan Han's arm, and walked upstairs.

A pair of soft breasts pressed tightly against Pan Han.

Pan Han was somehow fascinated by this feeling and, emboldened by the alcohol, reached out to touch her.

Cheng Xiao subconsciously dodged but then gave up struggling, letting Pan Han's hand wander.

Eight years in the apocalypse, she had seen everything. Pan Han was still an amateur playing this game with her.

The two moved to the room on the second floor, and Cheng Xiao placed Pan Han on the lounge chair. She turned to pour him water.

Pan Han, meanwhile, lit a cigarette to clear his head.

It was fine until he smoked; once he did, his stomach began to churn. Pan Han quickly got up and ran to the window, ready to vomit.

Seeing this, Cheng Xiao quickly ran over and patted his back.

Pan Han dry-heaved for a long time but didn't throw up anything; however, he did expel some of the alcohol fumes, and he felt a bit better.

He picked up the water glass to rinse his mouth, then took the towel and vigorously wiped his face.

"Lord Pan, with your alcohol tolerance, you should drink less in the future," Cheng Xiao reminded him, seeing his disheveled state.

"You're right, if I can't drink much, I should drink less, otherwise it will hinder things."

Pan Han picked up another glass of cola, gulped down two mouthfuls, and only then did he recover, but he was still dizzy and had to lie down again.

Cheng Xiao sat beside him, accompanying him.

"Lord Pan, shall I give you a head massage? It might make you feel more comfortable," Cheng Xiao said.

"Those hands of yours are for handling guns, can they also give head massages?" Pan Han asked.

"Before the apocalypse, I worked at a foot massage place for a few months..." Cheng Xiao said calmly.

"If you're going to talk about that, I'm not sleepy anymore. Let me see your skills," Pan Han said with a grin.

"Okay, boss," a gentle voice, like flowing water, came from Cheng Xiao's mouth, imitating a pre-apocalypse foot massage girl.

Immediately, a pair of calloused hands began to move over Pan Han's head.

"Boss, does it feel good?"

"Not bad, the skill is still there. It's just a shame about your hands."

"Yes, I've been constantly scrambling around outside for years, and my hands are already very rough."

"I'll bring you some hand cream and facial cleanser later."

"Thank you, boss. But this stuff isn't very useful in the apocalypse; it's better to exchange it for more food."

Pan Han smiled at this, reached out and patted Cheng Xiao's butt once, and slowly said, "It's useless in the apocalypse, but it's useful in our base."

"Oh!" Cheng Xiao acted like an elementary school student, nodding silently.

Just like that, after about 3 minutes of massage, Pan Han was already snoring.

Today's battle had exhausted him too much; he simply couldn't handle it.

Cheng Xiao saw that Pan Han was asleep, covered him with a piece of clothing, and then turned to go downstairs.

Downstairs, everyone was still drinking, and they saw Cheng Xiao come down.

Sixth Brother teased, "Lord Pan is quite fast!"

Cheng Xiao didn't say anything, just gave Sixth Brother a smack on the head, making him grimace in pain.

"Lord Pan can't hold his liquor very well; he almost threw up just now and is already asleep," Cheng Xiao told everyone.

"Hmm, Lord Pan is probably participating in a battle for the first time, and being overly nervous has led to him being tired and worn out, which is understandable," Qin Zhong said.

"Yeah, the first time I killed a zombie, I was so nervous I couldn't even hold my knife," Sixth Brother said.

"Fifth Brother, you'll come with me to get firearms tomorrow. Seventh Sister, you'll take the slaves to clean up the battlefield tomorrow," Qin Zhong didn't pick up on Sixth Brother's remark and began to assign tasks.

"Third Brother, Fourth Brother, you two go out tomorrow to gather information and see if you can find any news about this attack. Also, check the vicinity for anything unusual."

"Sixth Brother, you and Second Sister will take turns on duty tomorrow."

Qin Zhong gave a series of instructions, and everyone nodded.

"As for the slaves, Wei Monk should train them. Our team still needs to expand. If he can do it, we'll let him lead 100 people then," Qin Zhong specifically instructed Cheng Xiao.

"Yes, Laoda," Cheng Xiao replied.

"You eat a bit more, and in 10 minutes, go relieve Second Sister so she can eat too. You two don't drink, so you'll take turns on watch tonight. Arrange the shift change times well," Qin Zhong added.

"Okay, Laoda."
