382: The clown is actually me?

After Old William came out of the building, he immediately lit a cigarette and took a deep drag.

He hadn't closed his eyes for these 36 hours, and his mental pressure was immense.

He had written the report five times before he dared to submit it.

"Old Guo! You've been suppressing me my whole damn life. I was counting on you to get another promotion, but you actually died!" Old William stood with his hands on his hips, squinting at the sunlight.

"Perhaps this is destiny!" After saying this, Old William flicked away his cigarette butt and drove off.

However, he never imagined that this would be the last time he would see the sun!

A black SUV drove out from behind the walls, and Pan Han moved quickly.

As long as the SUV wasn't speeding wildly, Pan Han could keep up on foot.

His eyes blazed with fury as he stared at the SUV's rear window, not daring to slacken his pace for even a second.

Fifteen minutes later, the SUV merged into the city traffic.

As the number of vehicles increased, it was no longer suitable to continue tracking on foot, so Pan Han activated his divine sense and locked firmly onto the vehicle.

He could only move slowly across the blocks, ensuring the SUV didn't go beyond the range of his divine sense.

Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a villa in a residential community.

Old William got out of the car, stretched, and took out his keys to open the door and enter the house.

"He's home!" Pan Han, from a great distance away, confirmed this.

"Go to hell!"

Ten minutes later, Pan Han appeared near the villa.

He confirmed there were only two people in the house: Old William and a girl around ten years old.

"This must be his daughter!" Pan Han sized up the little girl; she did look a bit like Old William.

"I'm sorry, little girl, you're about to lose your father." Pan Han hesitated for a brief moment, but still made up his mind.

"Daddy, go to sleep. I'm going out to play with the neighbors."

"Alright, sweetheart. Come back early. Daddy will take you out for steak tonight."

"Okay! Bye, Daddy."

The little girl hugged a few books and went out, and Pan Han seized the opportunity to slip inside.

Old William had just washed his face and was lying on the bed smoking, his face full of gloom.

Pan Han entered the room quietly and stood in the corner, looking at him coldly.

"Who on earth did it?" Old William muttered to himself while smoking.

He had been an agent for many years and had never encountered such a bizarre situation as today's.

Pan Han thought to himself, "You'll know soon enough."

The reason he didn't act immediately was because he discovered a listening device in the room, and Old William was smoking.

If he went over now, the smoke would be displaced by his body, and Old William would very likely notice.

Once he sensed something was wrong, he might send a signal immediately.

Old William had received years of training, and Pan Han believed he was capable of that.

"It's not worth rushing this one cigarette's time."

Finally, the cigarette was finished, the smoke dissipated, and Old William closed his eyes, preparing to sleep.

Pan Han walked over quietly, reached out, and twisted; Old William died instantly without even a groan.

"Old Master Guo, sharpen your knife over there; this old schemer is coming over right away. Stab him a few more times."

After saying this, Pan Han collected the body into his space.

From this moment on, this person ceased to exist in the world.

After completing the whole process, Pan Han let out a long sigh of relief; he had been exhausted these past few days.

"Damn it! I have to hurry back and explain the situation. Otherwise, there won't be any preparation for the negotiations! Sigh, such a life of toil!"

The space fluctuated slightly, and Pan Han finally returned to his car.

He hurriedly lit a cigarette, his expression relaxed, and he took out his phone to call Guo Jing.

"Hello!" Pan Han's voice was languid; he was truly tired.

"You've finally appeared." Guo Jing answered the phone instantly; it was estimated that he had been glued to his phone during this time.

"Yeah. Let's find a place to talk."

"Can you come to the hotel? The Chief wants to hear about it."

"Sure, I happen to be out of liquor, prepare some for me."

"Alright."

Half an hour later, Pan Han appeared at the hotel.

This was where he had met the Chief last time, and he hadn't been back since; it had been several months already.

Guo Jing had been waiting at the hotel entrance for a long time and took Pan Han directly to the conference room.

Pushing the door open, the Chief and a few others were already waiting.

"Sorry, Chief, kept you waiting." Seeing this, Pan Han hurriedly stepped forward to apologize.

"It's fine. Next time, I'll have Little Guo drive a car with lights to pick you up. It saves you from traffic jams," the Chief said with a smile, though it was clearly visible that he was extremely exhausted.

After sitting down, Pan Han didn't waste any words and explained the whole matter from beginning to end.

He didn't even hide the fact that he could teleport or that he possessed an invisibility cloak.

However, he didn't mention the apocalypse.

To his absolute surprise, the Chief and the others did not feel shocked.

"Hmm, Little Pan, you did well. That Old William truly deserved to die; killing him was fine." The Chief nodded, affirming everything Pan Han had done.

"This is what I should have done. Old Master Guo sacrificed himself bravely to protect state secrets, which gave me the opportunity." Speaking of this, Pan Han glanced at Guo Jing.

Guo Jing's eyes were slightly red, but he didn't show too much sorrow.

Pan Han nodded at him; some things didn't need to be said, they were already understood.

"We will handle the matter regarding Xiao Fang. It's fortunate you returned in time, otherwise we would definitely have been at a disadvantage in the negotiations. Now it's good; everything has been resolved. If the Eagle wants to take a bite out of us, it won't be that easy."

"I originally wanted to message Guo Jing right after finishing it. But I was afraid the phone might be intercepted by the Eagle, so I waited until now."

"Hmm, you did the right thing. Little Pan, you've rendered a great service this time, and the country will remember you." The Chief finally smoothed out his worried brow, revealed a smile, and subconsciously lit a cigarette.

"Chief, I have a question." Seeing the Chief's mood improve, Pan Han wanted to take the opportunity to clear up his doubts.

"It's about your superpowers and the invisibility cloak, isn't it?"

"Hehe, yes. Why didn't everyone ask about it?"

"We knew about it long ago." The Chief blew a smoke ring and smiled slightly.

Speaking of this, everyone, including Guo Jing, couldn't help but cover their mouths and snicker.

"What the hell?"

Pan Han was stunned! He had been treating this as a secret, but it turned out everyone knew!

So the clown was actually me?

"Hahahaha! You silly boy!" Seeing Pan Han's appearance, the Chief laughed heartily.

Guo Jing leaned forward: "We knew about it when you were in the Myanmar Northern Region."

"Then why didn't you tell me sooner?" Pan Han reached out and poked him twice.

"Use your brain. Otherwise, why would we look for you?" Guo Jing clutched his stomach, enduring the pain as he told Pan Han.

"Holy crap! That's true!" Pan Han was suddenly awakened to the realization.

The country wouldn't approach him without reason; they must have evaluated the feasibility.

Pan Han had thought it was because of the Knight Order, but now that he thought about it, the Knight Order was nothing in front of the state apparatus!

In the last hundred years, the Dragon Kingdom had experienced turbulent times, produced countless heroes, and to have made it this far, it was infinitely superior to the Knight Order!

"Little Pan! You are very special, but you are not invincible. You must make good use of your abilities. Superpowers should also serve the people," the Chief suddenly said earnestly.

Hearing this, Pan Han nodded vigorously.

"We aren't interested in how you got your superpowers. Because in history, people like you are not rare. Some went down the wrong path before, but they were all dealt with. Do you understand?"

Pan Han suddenly stood up, his gaze burning as he looked at the Chief: "Understood!"

"Alright, alright. No need to be so formal. You don't need to worry about what comes next; get some good rest. I heard you're planning to open a National Restaurant; that's a very good thing, make sure you do it well." The Chief waved his hand, signaling him to relax.

"Yes. Indeed, it's about to open soon."

"Is there anything you need help with?"

"No, no, I'm not counting on it to make money."

"Alright, alright. As if you're the only noble one. In a while, the capital will issue some meal vouchers for the elderly, and your restaurant is within the designated scope," the Chief said with a chuckle.

"Really?" Pan Han was overjoyed upon hearing this.

With the meal vouchers, he could attract more people, and the initial promotion would be twice as effective with half the effort.

"Wherever the National Restaurant opens in the future, the meal vouchers will be issued there. Go ahead and do it."

"Yes, Chief!" Pan Han was just about to clap.

"Alright, go on, go on. I need to take a nap; I'm old and useless now! Little Guo, you see him out."

"Yes, Chief!"
