336: The future of northern Myanmar

“Reporting, Big Leader, I haven't thought too much about the future plans yet. The general direction is to build it into an entertainment capital,” Pan Han replied honestly.

“Oh? What kind of entertainment?”

“Cuisine, large amusement parks, film and music, e-sports, and possibly some gambling.” Pan Han listed everything he knew about entertainment, blurting it all out.

As for the sex industry, he didn't mention it. This kind of thing would naturally develop, both openly and secretly. He didn't want to touch it for now, but he wouldn't crack down on it either.

To build an entertainment capital, relying solely on Pan Han and the Knight Order for planning was not very realistic.

After all, the Myanmar Northern Region still had over 1 million residents. Pan Han would only manage the general direction and major projects, leaving the rest to unfold naturally.

Things like nightclubs, evening venues, and various business KTVs would certainly be thought up by local residents.

“It sounds like you plan to make the Myanmar Northern Region do a 180-degree turn.”

“Yes, Big Leader. In recent years, people in Dragon Country have changed color whenever the Myanmar Northern Region is mentioned. After reconstruction is complete, I hope this place can become everyone's first choice for international travel.”

“Good! Very good!” The Big Leader took out another cigarette, his eyes showing approval.

“Thank you for your affirmation, Big Leader. In the future, large-scale promotion will be needed domestically, which might require some conveniences from the country.” Pan Han quickly pulled out a lighter and lit the Big Leader's cigarette.

“If you can really achieve what you said, the country will definitely give its full support!” The Big Leader nodded and said, “You won't be touching drugs anymore, right?”

“Please rest assured, Big Leader, absolutely not. I will use the most severe methods to ban drugs. Drug users and traffickers will all be executed!” Pan Han nodded seriously, casting his gaze towards Guo Jing.

The other party smiled and nodded at him.

“Good! Master Pan, I didn't expect you to have such thoughts. Here, I just have a small request,” the Big Leader suddenly changed the subject, his expression serious.

Pan Han could feel the pressure intensifying.

He swallowed and said, “Please speak, Big Leader.”

“Although you are the Master of the Knight Order, with interests spread globally, you are also a citizen of Dragon Country. I hope you can hold the bottom line, guard the Myanmar Northern Region, and not let other countries infiltrate it.”

“Understood, understood. I will certainly do it.” Pan Han thought it was something else; this request actually didn't need to be made.

“Master Pan. You are still young, and some things are not as simple as you think. The current struggle is very complex. The Myanmar Northern Region is a chess piece for us and absolutely cannot have problems,” the Big Leader added, seeing Pan Han agree so readily, fearing he hadn't realized the seriousness of the issue.

“What do you mean, Big Leader?”

“After it becomes an entertainment capital, will you receive tourists from Eagle Country, Foot Basin, and Europa?”

“Uh, those who come to spend money normally, should be received.”

“That's right, that's what they say. But over time, the situation will become complicated. Not all countries in this world want you to do well.” The Big Leader thoughtfully exhaled a large smoke ring.

As the smoke ring slowly rose, Pan Han's thoughts also drifted far away.

There's certainly no problem with these foreign tourists coming to spend money and enjoy themselves.

But what if they want to invest? Should they be accepted?

Or to put it another way, if they spend a lot of money in the Myanmar Northern Region, will they cultivate some of their own forces?

What if tourists from these countries come to the Myanmar Northern Region to take drugs? Should they be executed?

If large-scale gold mines and oil are suddenly discovered in the Myanmar Northern Region, will these countries have ideas?

What if they send spies to cause trouble?

How should relations with Myanmar be handled? What if it develops well and they become jealous?

Pan Han just thought for a moment and found so many problems.

Indeed, they are all troublesome!

He regretted it a little now; how good would it be if he didn't act as this local emperor, just eating, drinking, and having fun every day, without having to manage anything.

Seeing Pan Han lost in thought, the Big Leader didn't rush to disturb him, but smiled and smoked.

After a while, Pan Han came back to his senses. Seeing the Big Leader and everyone waiting for him, he quickly said, “Big Leader, I understand. I will do my best to guard the Myanmar Northern Region.”

“It's okay, if you have any problems, you can always find the country. We also have a dedicated line now.”

“Mm-hmm, thank you, Big Leader.”

“Master Pan, do you have any personal requests for the country?” The Big Leader felt the conversation was almost done, so he asked.

This time, the Knight Order provided money and people, solving a big problem for the country, so there should naturally be some gifts.

Relationships are maintained by both sides; don't think the country is unreasonable.

On the contrary, the higher up people are, the more they understand this principle.

If one doesn't understand this basic law, how can one reach the highest positions in government?

All development in this world actually revolves around human relationships.

“Big Leader, I have no worries about food or drink now. I have no demands on the country,” Pan Han quickly stated.

“Hahaha! Then I owe you a personal favor! Come find me when you've thought about it.” The Big Leader laughed when he saw Pan Han's expression.

“Holy cow! I was careless! Letting the Big Leader owe me a personal favor, this is unbelievable!” Pan Han suddenly felt a shock in his heart; he really hadn't realized this point.

But he hadn't communicated with the Big Leader before, so he didn't know what kind of request would be appropriate.

After all, almost anything he wanted to do now could be accomplished, with no obstacles. He just hadn't thought of any requests he could make in the spur of the moment.

“Master Pan, don't be nervous. No rush, just say it when you think of it.” Seeing his hesitation, the Big Leader knew he regretted it, so he comforted him.

In the Big Leader's view, no matter how capable Pan Han was, he was still just a child.

It was normal for some things not to be fully thought through.

These were all minor issues; as long as he was patriotic, it was fine. The major principles remained unchanged, and everything else was easy to discuss.

United front work was like this: specific adjustments needed to be made according to different targets.

“Thank you for your understanding, Big Leader.” Pan Han felt a little more comfortable now, casting his gaze towards Guo Jing.

He realized that when dealing with the country, having a liaison person nearby was quite important.

“Alright! Shall we end our discussion here for today?”

“Okay, okay, Big Leader, you've worked hard!”

“Master Pan flew directly here; the journey must have been tiring. Why don't you rest here for the night?”

“Thank you, Big Leader.”

“Oh, by the way, for the foreseeable future, if you have anything, you can directly find Little Guo. This kid is familiar with you.”

Upon hearing this, Guo Jing immediately stood forward: “Yes, Big Leader.”

Everyone exchanged a few more pleasantries, and the first meeting officially concluded.

Guo Jing took Pan Han back to his room first, while the Big Leader still had matters to handle, so he simply stayed in the conference room to finish them.

“Boss Pan, you can relax now.” Guo Jing nudged Pan Han's shoulder, smiling slightly.

“Oh, oh, oh! Okay!” Pan Han was still immersed in the atmosphere from earlier, and his speech was still a bit stiff.

“It's nothing, the Big Leader is actually very easy to talk to. You'll know in the future.”

“Were you his soldier before?”

“Yes!” Guo Jing only said one word and then said no more.

Pan Han realized that his previous military work might be confidential and inconvenient to disclose.

“Let's go, want to have a drink back at the room?” Pan Han checked his watch; it was only eleven at night.

“Hehe. Master Pan, you're really in good shape! Not tired at all?”

“Alright then. Anyway, you can't outdrink me. Let's drink when you're well-rested.” Pan Han squinted, glancing at Guo Jing.

Guo Jing took out his phone, looked at his daughter's WeChat message, and sent a voice message: “You and Grandma should go to bed early, Daddy can't come home tonight.”

“Ah? It's so late, and your daughter isn't asleep yet?”

“She's a natural academic overachiever; she should still be doing practice problems at this hour.”

“Then you should go back and accompany her. You must have been away from home for a long time.”

“I'm going to test the Chosen One's alcohol tolerance!” Guo Jing put his phone in his pocket, saying meaningfully.
