442: The steps are big, but they may not hurt your balls

Ellie also furrowed her brows, remaining silent.

Qin Zhong and the other two didn't know what to say for a moment, standing there stunned, feeling quite nervous.

Because the instructions clearly stated that for the first three months after the three hatchlings were born, they needed to be fed with the owner's blood mixed with food daily to complete the recognition ceremony.

The most outrageous part was that it required at least 400 milliliters of blood every single day.

That meant for 90 full days, 400 milliliters of blood had to be drawn without interruption to feed the dragons.

That is just absurd!

Even though Ellie was an Intermediate Evolver with an incredibly strong body, she couldn't handle being drained like that every day!

In normal blood donation, 400 milliliters is the upper limit for a single session, and it requires months of rest before the next draw.

In emergencies, 600-800 milliliters can be drawn, but it causes damage to the body and could lead to shock.

If it were a Primary Evolver, whose physical functions far exceed those of an ordinary person, they would still need about a month to recover after drawing 400 milliliters.

If it were an Intermediate Evolver, they would likely still need seven or eight days to recover.

Ellie had just been reborn; she absolutely could not take such a risk.

Pan Han pondered for a long time and said, "We need to think long and hard about these three eggs!"

Qin Zhong and the other two naturally had no ill intentions; they were just accustomed to life and death in the apocalypse and, having seen the power of the dragons, had acted on impulse to give the eggs to Ellie.

"Commander, I want to try! These three dragons would be of great benefit to our base." Seeing this, Ellie volunteered.

"No, it's too risky!" Pan Han hurriedly shook his head, rejecting Ellie's impulsive idea.

"Commander, Ai Li! It was my oversight." Qin Zhong also quickly came forward to apologize, having almost caused trouble with his good intentions.

"It's fine! The eggs are in our hands anyway, and no one can take them. As long as Ellie evolves to a higher level, she should be able to successfully complete the recognition ceremony!" Pan Han said.

"What?? Commander, have you seen a Higher-level Evolver?" Qin Zhong, Old Three, and Old Four were immediately astonished upon hearing this.

"Yes! In Shanlan State, it was a Higher-level Evolver from the Twelve Palaces who saved Old Six from death! I can say with certainty that this guy is simply not the same species as us!" Pan Han had a very deep impression of Number 5 Baldy's abilities.

If Ellie could reach a higher level, drawing 400 milliliters of blood a day would definitely be a breeze.

Pan Han even had a premonition that a Higher-level Evolver could invade a dragon's consciousness and directly claim ownership.

"Damn! That amazing?" Qin Zhong touched his cheek, his gaze involuntarily drifting toward Shanlan State.

"Next, I want to talk to the Twelve Palaces about higher-level evolution! We must seize the opportunity."

Pan Han looked toward the direction of the Twelve Palaces; his desire for higher-level evolution was becoming almost impossible to suppress.

"Alright, let's stop talking about the dragon eggs for now. Let's talk about Shanlan State first. I've already arranged for Old Six to be stationed there. Old Qin, take some men over there to help hold down the fort."

Pan Han suddenly changed the subject; after all, the immediate situation was more pressing. Old Six and his team had just killed four city lords, and it was unclear what chain reactions might follow.

Thus, Pan Han briefly introduced the situation in Shanlan State and what needed to be done.

After listening, Qin Zhong and the others all indicated that they would take troops there tomorrow and forcefully suppress anyone who dared to defy them!

"Use both the carrot and the stick. And take plenty of extra food with you," Pan Han instructed.

The people of Shanlan State were fierce; if they could be completely subdued, they would surely become a formidable force in the future.

Thus, everyone agreed that Qin Zhong would set out tomorrow with ten thousand troops and supplies.

Old Three and Old Four were responsible for taking over the northern and southern states.

Within a month, the three states had to completely submit to Dawn Base.

Afterward, Qin Zhong and the other two said their goodbyes and left, while Pan Han pulled Ellie aside to make final arrangements.

"I'm heading back to the Knight Order tomorrow; I suspect the Eagle might be planning to make an example of them." Pan Han smoked, his mood somewhat low.

Thinking about the battle at Knight Island, he couldn't bring himself to be happy.

Although he had turned the Eagle's forces upside down and the culprit, Chris, was dead.

He still felt that things wouldn't be that simple.

After five hundred years of stability, a major upheaval might be coming.

"Husband, the Knight Order has a massive foundation, and besides, the Eagle is never monolithic. If you can avoid a falling out, don't have one. Just endure it for now," Ellie consoled him.

She wasn't afraid of the Eagle; it was just that the current world situation was treacherous, and if he forced his way to the forefront, he might end up as the nail that gets hammered down.

The Knight Order was, after all, the Leader's life's work; if he acted rashly and destroyed a five-hundred-year foundation, the loss would outweigh the gain.

"Some things don't always go according to our wishes! Since the Eagle has targeted me, the Knight Order definitely won't be spared! But what you say makes a lot of sense. After I go back, my main focus will be to secure a batch of equipment."

"We need to be more stable here so that I have the chance to find the Twelve Palaces and upgrade to a Higher-level Evolver."

"By then, if the Eagle wants to mess with me, it won't be so easy."

"Besides, the Dragon Kingdom will likely take advantage of this opportunity to counterattack the Eagle."

Pan Han stated many of his thoughts in one breath; after listening, Ellie frowned deeply, her worry evident.

"Husband! Our Knight Order has never participated in gambling on national fortunes!" Ellie said slowly.

"For hundreds of years, world hegemons have changed several times, and we have always hedged our bets."

"This is the only reason the Knight Order has been able to develop steadily until now."

"I know!" Pan Han suddenly interrupted Ellie.

"But I am not just the Leader of the Knight Order; I am also the Commander of Dawn Base! And I am still a citizen of the Dragon Kingdom!"

"If the Eagle wants to suppress the Dragon Kingdom by targeting me and the Knight Order, I definitely won't indulge them."

"Ellie, you are also from the Dragon Kingdom. You should be able to understand what I mean."

After speaking, Pan Han looked at Ellie with burning eyes.

"I can! As long as you think it's right, I will support you. It's just that we don't have the capital to risk our lives against the Eagle," Ellie said, regaining her composure.

In the last few decades, the Eagle has swept across the entire Blue Planet, without any opponents!

The Knight Order has also enjoyed the dividends of the Eagle's rapid development and world hegemony.

Precisely because of this, Ellie understood that going head-to-head with the Eagle would not end well.

"Do you know how many aircraft carriers the Eagle has?" Pan Han did not answer Ellie directly but asked an seemingly unrelated question.

"There are 11 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers in service," Ellie blurted out.

"Very good! Then tell me, what would happen to the Eagle if all 11 aircraft carriers sank?"

"Uh! That's impossible! No one on the Blue Planet can sink 11 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers." Ellie shook her head without thinking.

"You see, that's the problem," Pan Han said meaningfully.

"Husband, what do you mean?"

"Most people on the Blue Planet are like you. They don't even dare to think about it! You tell me, is there a possibility that if all 11 carriers sank, the Eagle would surrender directly?" Pan Han said, his eyes burning but his tone exceptionally calm.

"This hypothesis is too outrageous; the probability is almost zero. So I have never considered it."

"A century of navy, destroyed in a single day! A one-time defeat often brings unpredictable chain reactions. You never dared to think it, the Dragon Kingdom never dared to think it, and the Eagle never thought it either. But I'm going to try!" Pan Han's tone was calm, as if he were stating something that was bound to happen.

"This is too crazy! You want to destroy 11 aircraft carriers at once?" Ellie shook her head desperately; her mind was already filled with that image, and a sense of fear welled up within her.

"If they want to fight, this is the price!"

Pan Han stood up, his whole body radiating an indescribable light, from the inside out, scorching and intense.
