246: Level 5 Maze

"Is that it?" Pan Han looked bewildered. Was this considered a warning?

"Oh, no! Big Brother, this is definitely making enemies," Finci Dana was startled and cried out in alarm.

"Does that even need to be said? After the Trial, there's definitely going to be another fierce battle," Jiaogen Jingcun said coldly.

"Bring it on, no one here was scared into existence," Pan Han said, but then he called Cheng Xiao over.

"Go investigate these people's background. If you can't, go directly to Mo Li."

"Okay."

Everyone else had to participate in the fifth stage of the Trial tomorrow, so Cheng Xiao took on the task without hesitation.

The group returned to Pan Han's room. Except for Ouyang Feijin who was unconscious, the others all had some injuries, so they immediately treated their wounds on the spot.

Pan Han had brought some medical supplies earlier, which he took out and distributed to everyone.

Dili Abasi had multiple contusions and large areas of bruising on the back of her head, her back, and her thighs. She directly took off her top, leaving only a thin bandeau to cover her chest.

Cheng Xiao found that she no longer disliked her as much as before. This promiscuous woman might just be naturally carefree and acts this way with everyone.

"Let me help you apply the medicine," Cheng Xiao took the bruise and sprain ointment and walked behind Dili Abasi.

"Tha... Thank you!" Dili Abasi was a bit surprised, not expecting Cheng Xiao to change so quickly.

"No problem, women help women, you know? Otherwise, how can we fight against these smelly men?" Cheng Xiao seemed to imply something.

"Mm-hmm!" Dili Abasi nodded happily after hearing her words.

Pan Han and the others didn't feel awkward; they merely glanced over out of politeness, then began treating their own injuries.

After everyone had finished treating themselves, Ouyang Feijin slowly woke up.

"How did I pass out again?" Ouyang Feijin realized he was in Pan Han's room and knew the fight was over.

"Feijin, how did someone with your skills become a base lord?" Jiaogen Jingcun had been fighting his way through since the apocalypse, and he couldn't quite understand how someone like Ouyang Feijin could survive.

"Hehe, just good luck, good luck," Ouyang Feijin said, embarrassed.

Seeing him like that, everyone didn't ask further. Anyway, this guy had fainted dozens of times in the past few days, and it didn't seem to be a problem.

"Big Brother, what was the result? Did we win?" Ouyang Feijin went directly to Pan Han and asked about the outcome of the recent fight.

"Halfway through the fight, the Twelve Palaces separated us. But on the way back, the other side sent someone to deliver a message."

"Ah? What did they say?"

"They said, after the Trial ends, they want to challenge you to a one-on-one fight," Pan Han said with a chuckle, looking at him.

"Ah? Why do they want to challenge me? I didn't do anything to them," Ouyang Feijin immediately tensed up when he heard this.

Jiaogen Jingcun heard that Pan Han was teasing him and couldn't help but snicker.

Finci Dana, Nineteen Mao, Dili Abasi, and Cheng Xiao also covered their mouths.

They were all professionally trained and usually wouldn't laugh, unless they couldn't help it.

"Their boss didn't faint, did he? After he woke up, he heard you fainted faster than him, and he was very angry. He said no one in this world faints faster than him, so he wants to challenge you to a match," Pan Han said with a straight face.

"Ah? This... what the hell is this? Big Brother, you have to save me." Ouyang Feijin's brows furrowed, his lips trembling, as he looked anxiously at Pan Han.

"Hahaha!" At this moment, everyone finally couldn't hold back and burst into laughter.

Ouyang Feijin looked bewildered, seeing everyone like this, and was at a loss.

Although he was slow-witted, he wasn't stupid. After a few seconds of thought, he realized Pan Han was teasing him.

But seeing everyone laughing so happily, he also started to laugh along.

After several battles, the Hungry Ghost Squad's relationships became more and more harmonious.

After Cheng Xiao finished applying the ointment to Dili Abasi, she patted her on the back, signaling that she could put her clothes on.

However, Dili Abasi turned around, wanting to help Cheng Xiao apply it.

"My body isn't injured, no need to apply," Cheng Xiao said.

"Then let me do something for you."

"Uh, there doesn't seem to be anything to do."

"If there's nothing, then I'll go help Big Brother apply it!" Dili Abasi said with a smile.

"Damn it, you little hussy!" Cheng Xiao immediately scolded when she heard that.

"Thank you, Sister-in-law," Dili Abasi beamed with joy and took the ointment to Pan Han.

"Hey, hey, your two's business, don't drag me into it." Pan Han saw that things were going south and got up and ran.

"Sister-in-law, quickly go stop him. Later, you attack his lower body, and I'll choke him."

The room was once again filled with cheerful air.

...

The next day, Pan Han led everyone to collectively participate in the fifth stage.

Each person had a maximum of two hours, calculated from the moment they entered the maze, and stopped when they exited.

However, due to the large number of people and few mazes, there were queues in front of many mazes.

Pan Han was quite relaxed, smoking a cigarette and strolling around the entrances of the various mazes.

Each entrance had instructions, and Pan Han read a few, finding them somewhat similar to escape rooms in his own world.

Just as he was about to choose one to enter, he was pushed from behind. Turning around, he saw it was Thunder Captain.

"Kid, are you going in? If not, don't block the way," Thunder Captain, whose head was wrapped in gauze, said in a muffled voice.

He was clearly holding back, as it wasn't convenient for him to cause trouble for Pan Han right now.

"Oh, it's Captain Pig Head again! I'm not going, you can have it." Pan Han couldn't be bothered to argue with him and stepped aside.

"Idiot," Thunder Captain cursed and swaggered in.

Pan Han stroked his chin and mused, "This stage is called 'Pirates Dividing Gold Coins.' How does it sound familiar?"

The instructions for this stage were as follows:

Assume there are 5 rational pirates who have found 100 gold coins. They need to distribute these gold coins according to certain rules. The rules are as follows:

1. The pirates are ranked by seniority. The pirate with the highest seniority proposes a distribution plan.

2. All pirates (including the proposing pirate) vote. If the plan receives half or more of the votes, then the plan is accepted, and the gold coins are distributed according to the plan.

3. If the plan does not receive half of the votes, then the proposing pirate will be thrown into the sea to feed the sharks, and then the pirate with the next highest seniority will propose a new plan. This continues recursively.

4. The Trial participant must design a plan that allows them to get the most gold coins while also staying alive.

5. Each Trial participant has three minutes to think, two minutes to state their distribution plan, and only one chance. Failure requires immediate withdrawal.

"Heh, this stage is a bit interesting. If you're not smart enough, you'll definitely be eliminated." Pan Han had already thought of a solution after reading the rules, but it was somewhat counter-intuitive.

Unless one deeply understood human nature or had heard of it before, it would be impossible to give the correct solution in a short amount of time.

Sure enough, five minutes later, Thunder Captain walked out, cursing, clearly having been fed to the sharks.

Pan Han looked at him with a smile, and Thunder Captain glared at him fiercely: "What are you looking at? If you don't like it, you go!"

Pan Han shook his head; he wasn't in a hurry and planned to see how many people would fail this stage.

It was a good opportunity to study the mentality and intelligence levels of the people in the apocalypse.
