208: Go to the big market

From the seventy-first to the seventy-fourth floor, all were small fry, and Pan Han easily cleared them.

However, he only got less than 5000 points.

But Pan Han was very satisfied; after all, with continuous high-intensity combat, his physical strength and willpower couldn't keep up.

This might also be something the Twelve Palaces had anticipated, as their level arrangements focused on balancing work and rest.

On these four floors, there were seven or eight red dots, which Pan Han collected until the seventy-fourth floor, then opened the blind boxes all at once.

Daggers, crossbows, battle axes, rifles, grenades…

A pile of miscellaneous items came out. Pan Han couldn't tell which weapon had a special purpose, so he simply took them all.

He headed straight for the seventy-fifth floor!

Upon reaching the floor, it was brightly lit and bustling, surprisingly resembling a market.

However, all the market-goers were various types of zombies.

Some were children, some were old people, and some were people in uniforms.

Aside from their pale, grey faces, their expressions and demeanor were no different from normal humans!

"What the hell! This is too eerie!" Pan Han took a glance and found it somewhat resembled the rural markets from his hometown.

He even felt a bit of familiarity and nostalgia!

It had been years since he had attended a market, and he never expected to encounter one in the apocalypse!

And it was a market run by zombies—who would believe it, folks!

However, since he was here, Pan Han decided to stroll around.

He was full of curiosity about this zombie market, thinking, the Twelve Palaces sure know how to stir things up!

He blended into the zombie crowd, constantly moving among them. The surrounding zombies seemed completely unaware of him, as if he were air!

There were many stalls in the market: some selling books, some selling toys, some selling pots, pans, and bowls, and some selling knives, guns, and clubs!

Pan Han stopped in front of a weapon stall and looked around.

The stall owner was a zombie in a worn-out uniform; his face was gaunt, and his eyes were hollow and lifeless.

"My friend, what kind of weapon do you need? I have various qualities of knives, guns, and clubs for you to choose from," the stall owner asked Pan Han with a smile.

Holy cow! He spoke so fluently! Pan Han was startled; the boss's language ability and appearance were completely mismatched!

The scene was extremely uncoordinated, exuding a hint of creepiness!

Pan Han looked around, his gaze falling on a black long saber whose blade shimmered with cold light. He reached out and gently stroked the blade, feeling its sharpness and coldness.

"This saber looks good!" Pan Han asked curiously.

The stall owner smiled and explained, "This saber was forged by my own hands. It incorporates a special metal from the apocalypse, and its blade is extremely sharp, capable of easily severing the heads of most evolved humans!"

Pfft! Pan Han nearly spat out what he was holding!

Good heavens, it can directly chop off human heads!

That's truly logical!

They are zombies; of course, they sell weapons to deal with humans!

"How much does it cost?" Pan Han asked with a chuckle.

"You're human, aren't you, customer?" The zombie stall owner's eyes suddenly rolled, and his mouth stretched into a meaningful expression.

"Hmm, you figured it out!" Pan Han did not deny it.

"Humans have human prices!"

"Oh? Tell me about it."

"In your human world, the most precious thing now is food. So, for this saber, I'll charge you 100 cockroach cakes," the stall owner said, rubbing his shriveled hands.

"Haha! What use do you have for cockroach cakes? Are you going to roast them and eat them?" Pan Han had never heard of zombies eating such things.

"Ah, young man. We indeed don't eat cockroach cakes. But if humans eat a little less, we'll be safer. Don't you agree!"

"According to you, it would be safer if you didn't sell me weapons at all!" Pan Han understood the reasoning but couldn't grasp the deeper logic.

"Look at you, you just said that food is the most important thing. What are weapons compared to that?" the stall owner continued.

Seeing him so serious and assertive, Pan Han felt a bit dazed.

Does a zombie market truly exist in the apocalypse? Or are these zombie actors arranged by the Twelve Palaces themselves?

What is the purpose of arranging a market?

A series of questions kept swirling in Pan Han's mind.

"Mommy! I want to eat this!" A tender voice broke Pan Han's thoughts.

He turned his gaze and saw a small zombie pulling a Female zombie's hand, shaking it continuously.

Pan Han turned away from the weapon stall and walked towards the small zombie.

This was a BBQ stall, and the zombie boss, shirtless, was grilling skewers of meat.

Pan Han sniffed; it was a strange new aroma!

"Child, let's not eat anymore. Mommy's a bit tight on money lately!" The Female zombie showed a troubled expression.

"No, no! I want to eat it! I haven't eaten human flesh in two years!" The small zombie instantly became unhappy and started throwing a tantrum upon hearing this.

"Good heavens! I was going to treat you to BBQ, but it turns out to be human flesh! I guess not, then." Pan Han couldn't help but step back.

"Go to hell!" Pan Han spat again and left disgruntled.

He ultimately didn't kill them; it wasn't that he wasn't ruthless enough, but rather that his bracelet still hadn't given any prompts!

Are there no points on this floor?

So many zombies, no points—is it just for me to experience a zombie market?

Without a prompt, Pan Han could only keep exploring.

After walking halfway around the atrium, he looked up and surprisingly discovered a "Yihong Courtyard"!

"Oh my! Hahaha! This is too exaggerated, I have to go in and see." Pan Han pursed his lips into a smile, lifted the curtain, and entered.

Upon entering, he was greeted by a scent of flowers and a faint aroma of sandalwood.

He looked closely and saw a luxurious hall, with red embroidered curtains hanging by the windows, and soft lighting illuminating the entire space. The walls of the hall were adorned with exquisite landscape paintings, and a delicate stone sculpture was placed in the corner.

In the center of the hall was a carved rosewood table, on which various exquisite vases and tea sets were placed. Several Female zombies, dressed in alluring red clothes, sat around the table, their eyes seductive and smiles charming.

Their makeup was delicate and elaborate, and they wore soft, silky red cheongsams, with slender waists and graceful curves.

Aside from their faces being covered in rouge, appearing slightly pale and distorted, they were no different from humans!

One of the Female zombies, seeing Pan Han enter, quickly came forward to greet him.

"Welcome to Yihong Courtyard, handsome. This is a place for you to forget fatigue and stress; you can relax and enjoy yourself here to your heart's content."

Her voice was gentle, and her attitude professional!

"Girl, look closely, I'm human!" Pan Han replied with a smile.

"Oh, handsome! We're not picky about clients here! Even if you were a beast, let alone a human, we could satisfy you!"

"Really?" It must be said, this place truly opened Pan Han's eyes!

Who would have thought that in the apocalypse, there would even be a club run by zombies!

Folks! Who would believe it!

"handsome, we run a business. If we didn't have this attitude, what kind of shop would we be running? Don't you agree?" The Female zombie patted her chest, saying with a slight jiggle.

"So, what services do you offer?" Pan Han steeled himself; since he was already here, right…
