501: Human Pride and Original Sin

This image of a woman was the most perfect female Pan Han had ever seen in his life.

Whether it was her figure or her beauty, there were no flaws whatsoever.

The only thing was her gaze, which held a bit more ruthlessness, and her aura was so aggressive that even Pan Han found it hard to withstand.

The cigarette in the woman's hand disappeared, replaced by a butterfly knife.

A green python was tattooed on her arm, its tongue extending to her fingers; the moment she raised her arm, it seemed to come alive!

Snap, crackle, pop—it flicked with lightning speed!

This scene made Pan Han somewhat surprised, but even more so, it filled him with sympathy.

He could feel the pain and sorrow within the woman's body.

"I thought this was already the limit. But later, the things I was researching became increasingly twisted."

The woman's butterfly knife sliced through the air, instantly shredding several molecules.

This was the first time Pan Han had witnessed such a scene at a microscopic scale; that small yet incredibly vibrant explosion sent shivers down his spine.

He seemed to hear the wailing of the molecules, as well as the birth of new life.

At this moment, Pan Han was already in a trance, his consciousness and spiritual sense becoming chaotic once again.

Seeing Pan Han's reaction, the woman snorted coldly, ignoring him, and continued, "They also had me research drugs and food designed to make women infertile, or specifically to give birth to deformed children."

With one strike, the world seemed to split open.

"They also had me research drugs to turn people into zombies that would obey commands."

With another strike, the sun grew even dimmer.

"They even had me research a Dyson sphere to encase the sun."

With the third strike, it felt as if Pan Han's sea of consciousness had been shredded.

"The most ridiculous thing is that they even wanted me to research how to make certain privileged individuals powerful!"

With the final strike, there was monstrous rage, yet the words 'tender as water' drifted through Pan Han's mind.

Pan Han couldn't process this bizarre combination and passed out directly.

When he opened his eyes again, the woman was looking at him gently.

"Did you do all of this?" After waking up, Pan Han seemed to understand something and asked softly.

"That's right." The woman ran her finger across Pan Han's cheek; the gesture was exactly like Ellie.

The Ellie who was submissive to him, obeyed his every word, and loved him uncontrollably.

"Everything they asked me to research, I did. I created the zombie virus, I created the Evolution Potion, and I created the Dyson sphere."

"However, I used them all on humanity. So, you see, why is this planet always shrouded in mist?"

The woman looked up at the sky, took a deep breath, and appeared incredibly joyful.

"You used the Dyson sphere on 438 Planet!" At this point, Pan Han finally understood what was going on.

"That's right! The sun is so cute and innocent, why should it be trapped in a Dyson sphere?"

The woman nodded at the dim sun and smiled.

The sun actually flickered slightly, as if responding to her.

"You encased the planet, spread the zombie virus, destroyed all advanced technology, and used humans as experiments to perfect the Evolution Potion!"

Pan Han strung all the possibilities together; there could only be one truth!

"Yes! Lord Pan, are you satisfied?" The woman turned her head back. Under the sunlight, her face was in the shadows, and she continued to smile.

"There's no need for this, right! Humans are a bit lousy, but is it necessary to go to such extremes?"

It felt as if a heavy stone was pressing on Pan Han's chest; he wanted to say a lot, but couldn't get the words out.

He didn't know where the problem was, he just felt that something was wrong.

"Lord Pan! It seems you've been playing quite a big game yourself! Did those Intermediate Evolvers provoke you? Yet you killed them all the same."

The woman flashed a wicked smile, as if she had long known Pan Han would ask this.

"This..." Pan Han was unable to answer.

They indeed hadn't provoked him, but for the sake of safety, he chose to eliminate future troubles once and for all.

Perhaps it wasn't fair to them, but for the greater good, it might have been fair.

However, at this moment, Pan Han wasn't so sure anymore.

Because those who died were absolutely unlucky, but whether the future would be better because of their deaths was a question mark.

Even if Pan Han had the confidence to do well, things in the world are hard to predict.

And look, here comes big trouble!

The Creator of the apocalypse had made a move, and now he was completely helpless.

"You knew about it, why didn't you intervene?" Pan Han asked in a low voice.

"Why should I intervene? You humans should just solve your own problems."

"What good does it do you for the world to become like this? Aren't there still corpses everywhere, and cannibalism has become the norm?"

Pan Han continued to ask.

"Lord Pan! Tell me, how many zombies are there now, and how many humans?" The woman was not angry at all, but sat down beside Pan Han.

The two of them sat there in mid-air, the barrier outside had vanished, and the sea breeze blew through their hair.

"There should be 599.4 billion zombies, and I'm afraid there are less than 600 million humans left."

As the barrier dissipated, Pan Han's spiritual sense recovered. Like a bird in a cage regaining its freedom, he immediately cast his spiritual sense over the entire planet.

"Then you should know that zombies don't attack each other."

"Mm. I know that."

"Then don't you think this world is quieter and more peaceful now? At the very least, the vast majority of humans are no longer killing each other."

"But zombies can't be considered human."

"To you, not only are zombies not human, but cats and dogs aren't either. But to me, there is no difference between zombies and humans. They are all life." The butterfly knife in the woman's hand danced up and down again, the blade constantly flashing before Pan Han's eyes.

"Uh! But why did you make women unable to have children?"

The cigarette was still in Pan Han's hand, and he couldn't help but take a puff.

"What's the point of giving birth? Wouldn't they just follow the same old path as before?"

The woman looked puzzled; Pan Han should understand this logic!

"If they can't have children, how will the humans on 438 Planet reproduce and evolve? Having looked over 100,000 years of history, can't you see that humanity has always been progressing?" Pan Han said, suddenly feeling somewhat agitated.

"It's not that there hasn't been progress; the techniques for killing have become more refined."

The woman sneered, her butterfly knife dancing so fast that the blade was invisible, only a circle could be seen flipping up and down.

"So, since you like this dead silence, why did you come after me and target my world? Isn't it fine to just stay here?"

"Lord Pan, didn't you also have a child with Ellie?"

"Come on, you're just a machine, do you need to reproduce too?"

"Lord Pan, I suggest you retract that statement. The first batch of people died because of that very remark, and it was a miserable death."

Suddenly, a cold glint flashed in the woman's eyes, and a bone-chilling cold engulfed the surrounding space.

"What did I say wrong?" Pan Han hurriedly channeled his energy to resist.

"In your eyes, I have always been a machine. You have never treated me as a living being. This is the arrogance and original sin of you humans."
