395: True or False Stories

Three rounds of drinks and five courses of food had passed.

Pan Han wanted a smoke and politely offered one to Ayaka Kurai. She accepted it with a smile and, to his surprise, pulled a lighter from her pocket.

She stood up and leaned in close to Pan Han to light his cigarette.

Her chest dipped low, revealing the peaks within in full view.

Pan Han first caught a whiff of a delicate fragrance, then took in the view, and smiled as he took a drag.

It hit his lungs first, then went to his head—refreshing and invigorating!

Ellie saw all of these actions, but her expression remained calm as an ancient well, and she continued to eat her food.

Today, Pan Han had specially prepared her favorite roast squab.

It was her boss's kindness, and she couldn't let it go to waste. She had already eaten two, but she couldn't help herself and was ready to start on the third.

"Miss Aoi Ayaka, I am a little curious." A large smoke ring drifted from Pan Han's mouth.

"Giggle. It was rude of me; I should have taken the initiative to report to the Sect Leader." Ayaka Kurai held her cigarette between her fingers, her gaze slightly unfocused as she stared at Pan Han.

"Oh? Please, go ahead."

"It's very simple: because Ryugen Yamashita deserves to die!"

As soon as these words were spoken, Pan Han and Ellie both looked up and stared at her; this answer was quite unexpected.

Pan Han had assumed it was because of the bounty.

It was an amount of money that no one could refuse!

"Miss Aoi Ayaka, you have a story too?" Pan Han immediately realized this matter was not that simple.

Ayaka Kurai did not answer Pan Han directly, but instead moved her chair forward, leaving less than a foot of distance between them.

"Sect Leader, there is definitely a story. It just depends on whether you want to hear the true one or the false one."

A smoke ring puffed out from Ayaka Kurai's mouth, and at such close range, it blew right into Pan Han's face.

"Pfft!" Pan Han laughed out loud. "I didn't expect Miss Aoi Ayaka to be so humorous."

Ellie frowned slightly; she couldn't quite grasp this woman's intentions.

Could it be that she traveled all this way just to tell a story?

This woman was likely not that simple.

But Ellie didn't speak, continuing to eat her roast squab.

The roast squab today was really delicious!

"So, Sect Leader, do you want to hear the truth or the lie?" Ayaka Kurai picked up her champagne glass, swirled the wine inside, and looked at Pan Han with her eyes narrowed into crescent moons.

"What if I want to hear both?" Pan Han suddenly became interested.

Recently, all battlefronts had been advancing smoothly, and he had been bored for a long time.

Now, with a beautiful woman appearing out of nowhere specifically to tell stories, it was naturally excellent.

I'm willing to go to great lengths for this.

"If you want to hear both, there will be a price to pay. I wonder if the Sect Leader is still interested?"

"Heh, interesting! What's the price?"

"The price for hearing the lie is sleeping with me, and the price for hearing the truth is having the Yamaguchi-gumi merge into the Knight Order, with me becoming your personal secretary."

Ellie finally stopped eating, put down the roast squab in her hand, and stared directly at Ayaka Kurai.

Pan Han also put down his wine glass and slowly uttered a sentence: "It seems I prepared one table of food, but I have to host two tables of guests!"

"Sect Leader, which one are you prepared to hear?"

"I want to hear both!"

As soon as these words were spoken, both Ellie and Ayaka Kurai were stunned.

They hadn't expected Pan Han to make such a choice.

Pan Han relit his cigarette, reached out to touch Ellie, and said, "Go notify the elders to prepare to receive the Yamaguchi-gumi."

Ellie was taken aback, then nodded. "Yes, Boss."

No matter what he said, she would execute it immediately.

Even if it meant letting this woman become his personal secretary.

Besides, it seemed she was more suitable; after all, she was younger, prettier, and was even bringing a dowry.

"Very good. The Sect Leader is surprisingly decisive. I admire that. Alright, the next part is the true story."

"That year, I hid under the bed, not because I was only eight years old, but because someone broke into my house..."

Ten minutes later, Ayaka Kurai finished recounting her grievances with the Yamaguchi-gumi and Ryugen Yamashita.

Although she had already taken her revenge, her eyes were still slightly red, and her voice was choked with emotion.

"So that's how it is! Miss Aoi Ayaka, you're actually only just an adult?" Pan Han had felt she was very young before, but he hadn't expected her to be this young.

"Yes! It's true. But compared to the Sect Leader, I'm not even an ant. If I'm not mistaken, you're only a few years older than me, right?"

Who could have thought that she would be buttering him up at a moment like this!

Flattery really does work wonders!

However, Pan Han didn't think there was any problem with that, so he nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm a few years older than you."

"Sect Leader, you are young and promising. Thank you for being willing to accept the Yamaguchi-gumi and me."

"However, there's one question I haven't figured out. Why does killing Ryugen Yamashita mean you can take over as the leader of the Yamaguchi-gumi?"

Pan Han smiled slightly, as if he had grasped the crux of the entire issue.

"Giggle. Sect Leader, that answer is hidden in the false story. Do you want to hear it?"

While speaking, Ayaka Kurai lifted her petite foot and gently rubbed it against Pan Han's thigh.

"Hahaha! Miss Aoi Ayaka, in my opinion, this price is even greater than the first one! You really are a clever person."

"Then, Sect Leader, are you willing to give a clever person a chance?"

Pan Han looked at his watch and said, "There's still enough time."

"Sect Leader, do you have a lot of time?"

That foot directly touched Pan Han's crotch.

"It depends on the person. It mainly depends on when the other party surrenders." Pan Han looked at Ayaka Kurai through the smoke.

"Then let me borrow your bedroom!" After saying this, Ayaka Kurai also glanced at her watch.

"Please!"

The two stood up simultaneously and headed straight for Pan Han's bedroom.

Twenty minutes later...

Ayaka Kurai was panting, lying on the bed, without a shred of strength left; she couldn't even move.

"Miss Aoi Ayaka, can you tell me now?" Ever since Pan Han had been to the apocalypse, he had lost his sense of quantity.

But today he clearly remembered that there had been at least 2,000 strokes just now.

"Hahaha! Very good. It was worth coming today."

"I want to smoke one of my own cigarettes; the Sect Leader's is too strong."

Pan Han knew she was using a double entendre, but he didn't refuse. He opened her bag and took out a pack of slim ladies' cigarettes.

"May I offer you one?" Ayaka Kurai took out two and held one out to Pan Han.

"Thank you." He took it, lit it, and took a deep drag.

"Ladies' cigarettes actually taste like this? I've never smoked one before."

A unique fragrance wafted from the cigarette, a mixture of tobacco, grape, and lemon—it wasn't exactly good, but it was barely acceptable.

Ayaka Kurai lit one for herself and lay languidly on the bed.

Watching the smoke drift toward the ceiling, she slowly closed her eyes and began to rehearse the next steps.

"You can tell the story now," Pan Han said.

"Where should I start the false story? Let's start with where I came from."

Ayaka Kurai didn't seem to want to ask for Pan Han's opinion; she just started it herself.

"That year, I was only eight years old, but I was taken to Eagle Country. That began a ten-year-long devilish training."
