334: A bag of instant noodles and two eggs

“Is it a bit unexpected?” Pan Han knew that this news would be difficult to digest.

He truly couldn't hold back just now; hearing that Guo Jing's wife was killed by drug traffickers, a surge of passion and sorrow welled up in his heart.

Fortunately, the Knight Order hasn't touched the drug business for decades, otherwise, it would be so awkward right now.

“Thank you, Boss Pan.” Guo Jing suddenly looked at Pan Han with tears in his eyes, his eyes red and moist.

As the saying goes, great kindness needs no verbal thanks. Given Pan Han's identity, he wouldn't lie to Guo Jing; there was absolutely no need.

Guo Jing released all the grief he had accumulated over five years.

That major drug lord kept a low profile and had immense power. With Guo Jing's methods, he could never have harmed him.

Without Pan Han's help, his wife's revenge would only be half-fulfilled. And as long as the major drug lord was alive, people would continue to sacrifice themselves.

Pan Han looked at Guo Jing, his heart filled with mixed emotions. This couple had dedicated their lives to the country.

One was on the front line of drug enforcement, the other was defending national security.

There is no such thing as peace and quiet in this world; it's merely that someone is carrying the burden for you.

Pan Han used to not understand the meaning of this sentence, but now he suddenly understood.

He genuinely hoped that all humans would live in peace; it would be best if there were no heroes, because heroes meant tears.

Unfortunately, wherever there are people, there is a jianghu, and wherever there is a jianghu, there is conflict.

“Old Guo! I guarantee you that from now on, not a single gram of drugs will appear in the Myanmar Northern Region.”

“Thank you, Boss Pan. Then I can rest assured and take my daughter to the Myanmar Northern Region for a vacation in the future.”

This was a promise between two men!

Guo Jing's words actually reminded Pan Han.

The Myanmar Northern Region could definitely be transformed into a super entertainment city in the future.

This place, Dragon Country and Myanmar would certainly not manage it. That meant it could only rely on Pan Han and the Knight Order to drive its development.

A super grand plan slowly formed in Pan Han's mind.

He slapped his thigh: “Great! Old Guo, thank you for reminding me.”

Guo Jing didn't react for a moment, but seeing Pan Han so happy, he didn't say much, wiped away his tears, and lit another cigarette.

“Actually, we really should have a drink. When there's a chance, I'll treat Boss Pan alone. I hope you can grace me with your presence then.” Guo Jing knew Pan Han's identity was special, and he must be busy with countless affairs daily, so to invite him alone would likely require an advance appointment.

“Drinking can happen anytime. From now on, you can be in charge of the liaison between the Knight Order and the National Security Department, can't you? I'll tell the Big Leader later.”

“No, no, that won't do. The higher-ups have their arrangements; I just follow orders.” Guo Jing repeatedly waved his hand; he didn't want to leave that impression on the Big Leader.

“Oh, alright then. I'll be waiting for you to find me.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than eight dishes and one soup were served, and the two continued to eat.

Without realizing it, Pan Han ate another ten bowls of rice, which left Guo Jing dumbfounded.

This young man was truly incredibly miraculous.

“Oh my goodness! This is truly delicious.” Pan Han put down his chopsticks, rubbed his bulging belly, and was extremely happy.

Guo Jing burst out laughing; he truly envied young people who could eat and drink so much.

He recalled that back in the day, he was also an iron-blooded tough guy, training relentlessly, able to eat a large basin of food in one meal, and would be hungry again in less than three hours.

However, Old Guo then thought again, how did Pan Han manage to switch between being cold-hearted and passionately fiery at any moment?

Treating comrades like the warmth of spring, and enemies like autumn winds sweeping fallen leaves!

Rich and powerful, capable, and principled. A true 'four-virtues' youth!

Just then, Guo Jing's phone rang, and he quickly answered it.

After a few words, he hung up and informed Pan Han: “The Big Leader is here.”

“Ah? Here?”

“Yes, he's just bringing a foreign guest over to rest.”

“Then what do we do?”

“To the top floor conference hall, let's go now.”

The two quickly wiped their mouths clean, washed their hands, and headed straight for the top floor conference hall.

Along the way, Pan Han was still a bit nervous; it was his first time meeting such a Big Leader, and his feelings were hard to describe.

Upon arriving at the conference hall, there were only two middle-aged men in suits inside, tidying things up.

“Old Guo, you're here.” One of them stepped forward to greet him.

“Yes, Li Bureau Chief.”

“Is this the person the Big Leader wants to see tonight?”

“Yes, the current leader of the Knight Order.” Guo Jing reported truthfully; it seemed the person opposite him was of a higher rank.

“I didn't expect the real person to be so young.” Li Bureau Chief proactively shook hands with Pan Han.

The directors working here should all be legitimate bureau-level leaders.

Equivalent to the mayor of Pan Han's hometown.

The biggest leader he had ever seen in his life was probably his university president.

“Hello, Li Bureau Chief. Just call me Xiao Pan.” Pan Han quickly replied courteously.

“Haha, that won't do. According to the rules of the united front, your rank is also quite high.” Li Bureau Chief's voice was like a booming bell as he laughed heartily.

“Li Bureau Chief, when is the Big Leader coming?”

“He'll be here soon, please have a seat first.”

Pan Han then surveyed the conference room. It wasn't large, at most about 50 square meters, with a long table, a few chairs on either side, and two pairs of sofas and coffee tables behind, very simple.

However, when he activated his divine sense to observe, he gasped: “Good heavens, there are over thirty cameras alone. Full coverage, no blind spots.”

“It seems surveillance equipment must be very profitable. I wonder if there are still production lines after the apocalypse. If I could get those back, I'd make a fortune again.” Pan Han sat on the sofa, actually beginning to ponder this matter in his mind.

Just then, the door was pushed open, and a sixty-year-old man entered, looking somewhat tired.

Pan Han recognized him at a glance; he had seen him on television!

It was definitely him!

Everyone in the room immediately stood up, and Li Bureau Chief went forward: “Commander, he's already here.”

The old man looked at Pan Han, his gaze sharp, his aura so powerful that Pan Han almost trembled.

This kind of aura truly wasn't something an ordinary person could project.

The Commander walked directly to Pan Han, also proactively extending his hand to shake: “Master Pan, hello, hello, sorry to keep you waiting.”

Smiling, pleasant, like a spring breeze! His demeanor was perfectly controlled.

Pan Han quickly replied: “Hello, Commander!”

“Have you eaten?” the Commander proactively asked.

“Just finished.”

“Hahaha, I haven't eaten yet, I'm starving.” Saying that, the Commander turned and instructed the secretary behind him: “Tell the kitchen to make me a bowl of instant noodles, two eggs, and a bag of pickled vegetables! Tell them not to use any fancy broth, the simpler the better!”

“Yes, Commander.” The secretary who had just pushed the door open immediately went out to arrange it.

“Oh dear, Master Pan, I'm truly sorry. I'm old, can't stand the hunger anymore; if I don't eat something, my stomach hurts.”

“The Commander is right.” Pan Han didn't know how to respond for a moment, and actually blurted out this sentence.

“Hahaha! Very good, I just like dealing with young people, come, sit.” This very sentence amused the Commander, and he pulled Pan Han to sit on the sofa.

Pan Han also didn't expect the Big Leader to be so down-to-earth, not putting on airs with him.

Now it seemed completely different from what he saw on television!

He was already a vice-national level official, yet he was still arranging to eat instant noodles, and his taste requirements were even lower than his own.

Pan Han thought about the twelve dishes and two soups he had just eaten and suddenly felt a little embarrassed.
