379: Sound in your ears

He went downstairs to the garage and climbed into the car.

The garage was empty at this moment, and the cold wind blew in, accompanied by snowflakes, biting and freezing.

But Pan Han's heart was burning with fervor.

The battle stories, spy movies, and heroic deeds he watched as a child were now going to happen to him today.

And this kind of thing would certainly never be exposed for the rest of his life.

Thrilling!

He began to check his equipment: firearms and ammunition, a dagger, an invisibility cloak, a mecha, poison, ropes, and so on.

Everything was ready, so he took a deep breath and shouted the slogan he loved most as a child: "Human Cannon, fire!"

Space fluctuated slightly, and Pan Han traveled back to the apocalypse, then traveled again to Eagle Country.

Eagle Country, a certain state, outside a special prison.

Pan Han flashed into a patch of grass, unable to open his eyes because of the piercing sunlight.

"Damn it! I forgot it's daytime here. Why the hell am I wearing all black?" Pan Han was speechless. He took off his night-running suit, stored it in his space, and put on his invisibility cloak.

At this moment, he was about 1 kilometer away from the prison and could see it clearly without binoculars.

Looking from afar, this prison occupied a very small area, no more than about 100 meters in length and width.

It was surrounded by high walls and barbed wire, with guard towers at the four corners, where military police stood guard with guns.

In the middle stood a four-story building with very few windows, all covered by white curtains, making it impossible to see the situation inside.

But who was Pan Han? An Intermediate Evolver; would he be afraid of mere curtains?

So he activated his divine sense and shrouded the entire prison within it.

"Holy crap!"

He didn't know until he checked, and he was shocked once he did!

Unexpectedly, the surface part of this prison was just a front.

The real point was all underground!

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7! There are a full seven levels underground!"

"And the underground part is much larger than the surface!"

"As expected, there's more than meets the eye."

"Eagle Country, oh Eagle Country, you are truly rich! How much did it cost to build such a huge underground city?"

Ten minutes later, Pan Han had completely grasped the structure and personnel situation of the entire prison.

Moreover, he had very smoothly found the target person.

He was detained in a room in the southeast corner of the third underground level.

The room was about thirty square meters, and the walls and all protruding parts were wrapped in white soft material.

There was a small bed with an old man of Long Country features lying on it, resting with his eyes closed.

Three cameras and recording equipment were installed around the room.

"Why does he look a bit like Guo Jing?" Pan Han wondered. Could it be that he still had some information he hadn't confessed?

But he didn't have time to study this matter and began to think about how to get the person out.

A few minutes later, he gave up.

It was absolutely impossible to bring someone out of this place.

If he put on the mecha to force an attack, there might still be hope.

But he couldn't guarantee that the target person would survive until they escaped from Eagle Country.

"Damn it!" Pan Han slapped the ground in front of him, a sliver of helplessness welling up in his heart.

If he couldn't take him away, he could only send him off!

"No matter what, I'll go in first and figure it out!"

Pan Han adjusted his invisibility cloak, took a few deep breaths, traveled to the apocalypse, and then traveled again into the room.

Space fluctuated slightly, and the old man lying on the bed vaguely felt that someone had entered the room and hurriedly opened his eyes.

He propped himself up, looked around, but didn't discover anyone.

"Sigh, I'm getting old, I'm actually hallucinating." After speaking, the old man lay back down.

Pan Han held his breath and stood steadily; if he hadn't walked here and bumped into him, he definitely wouldn't have been discovered.

He sized up the old man: he was around sixty, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, his hair half-black and half-white, and his expression looked slightly weary.

"He really looks like Guo Jing, and his name is Guo Taiwei! Could they be family? Such a coincidence?" This question spun around in Pan Han's mind a few times.

But the old man seemed to have a sixth sense; he tossed and turned on the bed and couldn't sleep anymore.

His eyes glanced around from time to time, observing.

"Bad, there's surveillance here, I can't let him show it." Thinking of this, Pan Han transmitted his voice to him.

This voice was transmitted directly into Guo Taiwei's mind; even if others were standing right in front of him, they couldn't hear it.

"Don't move, lie still. I was sent by the organization to save you. I'm in your room right now."

A low sentence, carrying a trace of pressure, allowing no room for Guo Taiwei to doubt.

So he lay quietly again, a subtle, imperceptible smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

"Guo Taiwei, please lie quietly, do not let your expression fluctuate too much. If you understand, scratch your nose with your left hand."

Sure enough, the old man scratched his nose according to the instruction.

"Very good! Stay still. I need to observe the room some more."

No matter what, Pan Han still had to make the greatest effort, so he began to observe his surroundings.

Just at this moment, footsteps came from the corridor, and someone was heading straight here.

"Someone is coming. Just act normally. Make sure not to give yourself away." Pan Han moved a little further into the corner.

Guo Taiwei heard this, scratched his nose with his hand again, and closed his eyes to continue sleeping.

Two minutes later, the sound of the door opening rang out, and three men entered.

"Mr. Guo, stop pretending, get up. You just got up a moment ago!" the white-haired man in a suit leading the group said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Guo Taiwei opened his eyes, raised his head, and said, "Old William! I have nothing to say!"

Old William chuckled, not angry at all, but said, "There are still a few minutes left until the 48 hours are up, let's chat for a bit."

"Even if you give me 480 hours, I still won't say anything. Why don't you just do it, hahahaha!" Guo Taiwei suddenly let out a long laugh toward the sky, an indescribable feeling of gratification.

"It doesn't matter. We have plenty of methods and time. However, your country has really paid a heavy price for you." Seeing Guo Taiwei's attitude, Old William was not angry and continued to say with a smile.

After speaking, the three men pulled in three chairs from outside and sat down unceremoniously.

"It's not worth it for a dying man like me! Tell them not to bother!" Guo Taiwei turned his body and said toward the corner.

Pan Han knew this was said for him to hear.

But the three men didn't know the situation and instead cast admiring glances at him.

"Don't you want to know what price your country has paid for you?" Old William had known Guo Taiwei for almost twenty years.

From old acquaintances to enemies, it was just a matter of one night.

Hearing the word "price," Guo Taiwei trembled slightly.

Old William didn't wait for Guo Taiwei to speak and said directly, "Our four spies in Long Country, the shortest one having lurked for eight years, were actually just appetizers."

"Long Country is even willing to hand over the information they have on our country's nuclear weapon deployments."

"They even agreed to cooperate with our country's actions in several conflict countries."

"Old Guo, oh Old Guo! I've known you for so long, and I didn't know you were actually so valuable!"

"Damn it! Is it my fault!" Guo Taiwei muttered, covered his eyes with his hands, and made a sobbing sound.

"Alright, time's up. Let's begin." Old William looked at his watch, took out a notebook, and handed it to the two people beside him.

"Old William, give up that idea, I have nothing to say!" Guo Taiwei sat up, his eyes suddenly flashing with a cold glint, and said coldly.

"Hehe! We have plenty of methods!" The corners of Old William's mouth stretched to his ears, and he let out a shrill laugh.
