154: Big Liar
Upon hearing this, Pan Han nodded silently.
20 billion for filming, and the remaining 10 billion for development—that could be considered a worthy contribution to the country.
After so many years of trials and tribulations, it was time for Dragon Kingdom to return to its rightful place.
Cultural output in this area must keep up.
Some people had been kneeling for too long!
"When the time comes, I'll introduce you to everyone I know in the film and television industry. Since you're not afraid to spend money, the opening must be a blockbuster!" Wang Doudou was infected by Pan Han's grand vision, as if she saw the scene of Erlang Shen fighting Sun Wukong broadcast globally.
"Alright! Then I'll thank you in advance. I'll arrange a role for you then."
"I want to play Sister Chang'e."
"You'll play Zhu Bajie's Second Aunt!"
"Go to hell!"
"Ouch!"
...
In a flash, it was evening.
Pan Han originally wanted to go out, but since he had been drinking, he couldn't drive, so he could only stay at Wang Doudou's house and play ranked games.
As expected, he dropped from Grandmaster to Diamond!
"Why is it that the luckier I am in reality, the worse my luck is online? What kind of trash teammates are these!" Pan Han threw his phone away and slumped onto the sofa, utterly despairing.
It wasn't until past 7 PM that Old Master Wang and Uncle Cheng woke up.
The two stumbled out of the bedroom, looked at each other, and both made demands.
They were defeated! After so many years of dominating drinking parties, they were truly defeated!
Uncle Cheng's body was slightly stronger; he took a shower and finally sobered up considerably.
Coming out of the bathroom, he remembered that he had an appointment with Pan Han tonight to deal with Wang Cheng.
So he briefly explained the situation to Old Master Wang and then pulled Pan Han, ready to go out and handle business.
"Just scare him, don't kill anyone. Things are different now," Old Master Wang whispered before they left.
"Don't worry, Old Master," Uncle Cheng nodded, returning to his usual demeanor.
"Xiao Pan, didn't you rest?" Uncle Cheng walked into the living room and saw that Pan Han showed no signs of fatigue.
"No, I just played some games, waiting to sober up."
"Youth is truly wonderful!" Uncle Cheng sighed with emotion.
"Your health is truly wonderful."
"Let's go, time to do business."
Pan Han suddenly remembered their previous agreement to deal with Wang Cheng tonight.
"Okay."
"Later, you don't need to say anything, just watch."
"Okay!"
The two bid farewell to Old Master Wang, called a bodyguard, got into a Bentley, and headed straight for the Wangchao Hotel.
Their family had a presidential suite permanently rented at the hotel.
Uncle Cheng pulled Pan Han to sit in the back seat, and the two smoked and chatted.
"Xiao Pan! I've had a few dealings with this Wang Cheng before. He's a greedy scoundrel," Uncle Cheng began.
"Yes, indeed. He even threatened me before," Pan Han admitted openly.
"He had a few small-time gangster associates. They disappeared later. Have you seen them?" Uncle Cheng suddenly asked.
"Never seen them." Just kidding, those people had already been thrown into the apocalypse by Pan Han, but how could he admit it?
"It's good that you haven't seen them." Uncle Cheng smiled without speaking; he just asked, and he didn't believe a single word of Pan Han's answer.
"What's wrong? Were those people very powerful?"
"Not powerful enough, just quite shameless."
"How should one deal with shameless people?"
"Shamelessness is only effective against opponents of the same level. Cross-level shamelessness is equivalent to seeking death," Uncle Cheng flicked his cigarette ash into the ashtray.
"Uncle Cheng, what are you planning to do later?"
"First, I'll invite him to the hotel and talk to him. I'll tell him that I've already directly found you. I hope he won't appear again in the future," Uncle Cheng said confidently and unhurriedly.
"You mean, Uncle Cheng is going to reason with him?" Pan Han was greatly surprised to hear this; he had thought they would directly tie him up and beat him half to death before talking.
"With reason, you can go anywhere in the world!" Uncle Cheng lit another cigarette.
"Uncle Cheng, when do you usually reason?" Pan Han didn't believe his nonsense.
"When I'm in the right, I reason!" Uncle Cheng turned his head, looking at Pan Han with a triumphant smile.
"Uncle Cheng, you're so principled, it's truly worth learning from!" Pan Han admired him immensely and couldn't help but flatter him.
"Kid, Old Master and Wang Doudou both think highly of you. As for me, I'll definitely reason with you. Don't worry," Uncle Cheng, with a cigarette in his mouth, freed a hand to pat Pan Han's shoulder.
The force was strong! But Pan Han felt nothing, just a tickle.
"Uncle Cheng, this car is really nice. Lend it to me sometime." Pan Han's shoulder muscles tensed slightly, immediately pushing Uncle Cheng's hand away.
Uncle Cheng was startled, his expression instantly returning to normal.
"No problem, we have plenty of cars at home."
After more than half an hour of friendly conversation, the group arrived at the presidential suite of the Wangchao Hotel.
Pan Han remembered what had happened between him and Wang Doudou there not long ago; truly, things had changed.
"Xiao Pan, just wait in the inner room later. Don't come out."
"I don't need to show my face, right?"
"No need, I'll just talk to him. This old face of mine still has some pull," Uncle Cheng said confidently.
"Okay, then I'll go in. Call me when it's done."
Uncle Cheng told the bodyguard to stand guard at the door, while he sat on the sofa and began to brew tea.
Half an hour later, the bodyguard brought Wang Cheng in.
"Uncle Cheng, I'm here." As soon as Wang Cheng saw Uncle Cheng, he obediently ran over.
"Sit down quickly, come have some tea." Uncle Cheng looked at him kindly and poured tea for Wang Cheng.
"Oh, I wouldn't dare. Uncle Cheng, just tell me if you need anything." Wang Cheng saw Uncle Cheng being so polite to him, and for a moment he didn't know the true intention, so he quickly took the teacup with both hands and sat halfway on the sofa.
"It's nothing, just wanted to discuss something with you."
"Uncle Cheng, I wouldn't dare to use the word 'discuss.' If there's anything you need me for, just give the order. It's my honor to do business for you." Wang Cheng heard Uncle Cheng's tone was so polite and knew it wasn't good news, and beads of sweat instantly rolled down his face.
Pan Han opened his divine sense in the room, hearing the conversation outside crystal clear.
"This Uncle Cheng has such a strong aura. It seems his status in the underworld is not low," Pan Han mused.
"Wang Cheng, you've been doing well lately, right? How's your family?" Uncle Cheng was not in a hurry to reveal his intentions, but first chatted with him about family matters.
"Heh, thanks to you. I just bought a house, and everything's good at home. I was just saying I'd been busy and forgot, but I'll find a chance to pay my respects to you soon," Wang Cheng immediately replied.
"Hmm, that's good. We've known each other for a while now. You've always been respectful to me. So I'll tell you this properly," Uncle Cheng took a sip of tea.
Wang Cheng, upon hearing this, also nervously took a sip.
"Uncle Cheng, just give the order. No need to be polite with me."
"A while ago, you brought that President Pan to me to exchange gold bars. Forget about that matter from now on. You should also forget about this person."
"Ah? Uncle Cheng, did something happen to him?" Wang Cheng became even more nervous when he heard it was related to Pan Han.
He had long felt that Pan Han's gold was problematic, but he didn't expect something to happen so soon.
"Hmm, someone is targeting him and preparing to make a move. You'd best not get involved again. Don't blame Uncle Cheng for not warning you if you get implicated then," Uncle Cheng heard the other party's tone was nervous and flustered, so he changed his tone accordingly.
"Ah? Is it that serious?" Wang Cheng's mood was quite complicated when he heard his big gold source was in trouble.
He didn't care whether Pan Han lived or died; the most important thing was that he would lose a lot of referral fees in the future.
"What, do you think I would specially come here to deceive you?" Uncle Cheng raised an eyebrow, his tone immediately becoming much more serious.
"No, no, that's not what I meant. It's just that I've cooperated with President Pan a few times, and suddenly hearing he's in trouble is quite unexpected."
"You rascal, which of the things you do isn't prone to trouble? Just protect yourself first," Uncle Cheng increased the intensity of his persuasion.
"Yes, yes, Uncle Cheng is right to remind me. Thank you, Uncle Cheng!" Wang Cheng immediately nodded repeatedly like a pecking chick.
"Some things are inconvenient to discuss over the phone, so having you come here is also for your own good. Don't blame Uncle Cheng for being cautious."
"Not at all, I'm grateful for it."
"Alright, that's the matter then. Take this packet of tea leaves back and drink them." After persuading him, Uncle Cheng gave Wang Cheng a packet of "sweet dates."
Given his status, if he was willing to give a gift to someone like Wang Cheng, the other party would truly have to take it home and worship it.
Pan Han, listening from inside, almost burst out laughing.
He had thought there would be threats or a beating. Was it just going to end with this kind of persuasion?
What was this? It wasn't like the script!
Wang Cheng, holding the tea leaves, bowed and scraped, bidding farewell to Uncle Cheng and the bodyguard.
"Come out, it's done!" Uncle Cheng called out to the inner room.
Pan Han walked out, looking utterly bewildered: "Uncle Cheng, I didn't expect you to be a great con artist too!"
