195: First encounter with Boss Zombie
"Holy crap!" Pan Han's hair stood on end when he heard the sound.
Immediately following was a spray of gunfire, and the poor Female zombie was dead right after she greeted him.
"This building is too bizarre." Pan Han shivered, shedding several hundred goosebumps.
"Here I come, bro!"
"Here I come, bro!"
"Here I come, bro!"
Just as he finished shaking off the goosebumps, before Pan Han could even catch his breath, eerie laughter echoed from every room on the sixth floor.
Pan Han quickly retreated from the room and looked down the hallway.
Ding, his wristband chimed, indicating that each zombie on this floor was worth three points.
"Damn, the points aren't high!"
Looking at the score, Pan Han felt it wasn't worth it.
He kicked open another door, revealing another plump Female zombie with her back to Pan Han.
Bang! A headshot.
Next room, bang, a headshot.
After clearing four or five rooms, Pan Han discovered that these Female zombies didn't actively attack him; they only scared people with their bizarre, taunting voices.
"No wonder the points are low; they're like toads, they don't bite but they're annoying!" Pan Han said with a wry smile.
He considered abandoning this floor and going directly to the seventh floor.
Because these Female zombies were exactly one per room, to kill all hundred, he would have to clear a hundred rooms.
Even if he killed them all, it would only be three hundred points, but it would take a lot of time.
However, if he didn't deal with them, it would feel like a thorn in his side, constantly bothering him.
Who knew if these big sisters would suddenly ambush him from above and below!
Why did ancient armies usually break through cities one by one instead of bypassing them?
Because leaving a nail behind you always poses a danger.
"This floor is such a pain in the ass! No real danger, but it's really disgusting!" Pan Han pondered for a moment and decided not to leave any future troubles.
Being steady is never wrong!
So he quickly kicked open doors, fired rapidly, moving non-stop, killing his way through.
Even with his full sprint, it took him ten minutes to clear all hundred rooms.
Pan Han looked at his score and sighed softly, feeling as if he had been outmaneuvered by the Twelve Palaces.
He imagined a black-clad, masked figure sitting in the Twelve Palace Headquarters, watching the screen and laughing lewdly.
Pan Han wasn't sure what kind of person designed this level, so he conjured an image in his mind.
No matter who it was, it must be a lewd fellow!
"Forget it, when you're out in the world, how can you avoid getting hurt? It's impossible to always have smooth sailing. Let's go find the red dots." Pan Han comforted himself.
Below the sixth floor, there were only three red dots.
Since everything had been cleared before, Pan Han quickly obtained all the boxes.
"Time to open blind boxes!"
He opened the first one, which was a shotgun with thirty-two rounds of reserve ammunition.
He slung it across his back.
He opened the second, a pistol with four magazines, each holding fifteen rounds.
He tucked it at his waist.
He opened the third, and it was actually a pot lid!
"Damn! My luck is so inconsistent! This won't do!" Tossing the pot lid aside, Pan Han geared up and headed straight for the seventh floor.
The seventh, eighth, and ninth floors were all easily cleared.
His score had already exceeded 40,000, and his ranking reached 88th.
However, all his large-caliber ammunition was depleted, leaving only his pistol untouched.
He searched around, but there were no red dots on these floors.
Pan Han wasn't in a hurry to go upstairs; he was thirsty and hungry, so he simply sat down to replenish his energy.
He took out the package he received before entering, which contained soft packs of drinking water and energy bars.
After a few bites, he immediately felt much lighter, and his strength gradually returned.
Tenth floor, here I come! Pan Han murmured, then charged up.
Upon arriving, he immediately felt a chill, and it was pitch black.
"Damn it, this is really creepy." Pan Han pulled two glow sticks from his pocket, cracked them, and threw them out.
Before Pan Han could see clearly, a pair of large feet stomped on and crushed the glow sticks.
"Nani?" Pan Han immediately pulled out his tactical flashlight and shone it forward.
A giant zombie, over three meters tall, stood about ten meters in front of him.
This creature was bulky, with well-developed limbs and a tail. It had no eyes on its face, but a long tongue extended from its large mouth, flicking around.
Wait, no eyes!
No wonder the lights weren't on on this floor!
After Pan Han realized this, he suddenly felt like he was in trouble!
Fighting in the dark was definitely the giant zombie's strong suit.
Without eyes, it wouldn't need light, and its other senses must be exceptionally developed.
Ding, the wristband notification came: this zombie is worth one thousand points!
"Holy crap! That high? Its combat power must be terrifying." Pan Han was momentarily indecisive, even considering retreating.
But he couldn't bear to give up the one thousand points.
Just as Pan Han was hesitating, the giant zombie charged directly at him.
The zombie hadn't arrived yet, but its aura was already there, such powerful pressure.
Pan Han rolled on the ground, also hiding in the darkness.
With his current perception ability, darkness wasn't a problem for him.
"If it's a blessing, it's not a disaster; if it's a disaster, you can't avoid it! Let's just go for it."
Pan Han roared and launched a flying kick towards its back of the head.
Unfortunately, he miscalculated this time, because he forgot that the opponent had a tail.
Smack! A tail whip directly struck Pan Han's waist.
"Ah!" Pan Han cried out, flying seven or eight meters.
A large mouthful of fresh blood gushed out.
"So strong." Pan Han landed and immediately got up, enduring the pain.
Because the giant zombie's second wave of attack had already arrived.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Footsteps accompanied by heavy breathing, like the god of death in the darkness.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Pan Han pulled out his pistol and fired wildly at the giant zombie.
However, he knew that the pistol definitely couldn't kill it, at most it would slow down its attack speed.
So, he could only run and shoot at the same time.
Soon, only one magazine was left. Pan Han knew he couldn't shoot anymore; he needed to save it as a backup.
Gun holstered, knife drawn!
"Come on!"
After the previous probing, Pan Han had roughly figured out the giant zombie's strength and attack range. He felt he could give it a try.
Even though you're big, Pan Han is also an evolver, and he still has the strength to fight.
The two quickly became entangled in combat.
During previous training, Pan Han could easily defeat the members of Dawn Base.
It was clear that his combat skills had reached a masterful level.
After several rounds of offense and defense, Pan Han discovered that the giant zombie's strength and speed were both greater than his own.
But its attack methods were extremely simple and crude, without any technique to speak of.
This gave Pan Han room to maneuver, and combined with his superb swordsmanship, and aiming for the joints.
After a few rounds, the giant zombie gained no advantage, but instead was cut open, bleeding profusely.
Finally, the giant zombie forced Pan Han away with a tail whip, then jumped to the side to catch its breath.
Wheeze, wheeze! Its limbs were now difficult to control, and a large gash was cut across its chest, vaguely revealing its ribs.
"Big guy, are you dreaming!" How could Pan Han give it a chance to rest? He pulled out his pistol and fired, emptying an entire clip.
"Awoooo!" The giant zombie let out a painful wail, its body slowly falling.
"What's going on?" Pan Han realized something was wrong, fearing a furious counterattack from the opponent, so he immediately jumped back a few times, putting a safe distance between them.
With a thud! The giant zombie crashed to the ground.
Pan Han couldn't see clearly, but he could feel it.
The scene was utterly silent; the zombie whimpered a few times, then showed no more signs of life. Pan Han dared not make a sound, listening intently.
For a full five minutes, Pan Han didn't move.
"What's the situation? Is it dead?"
Pan Han turned on his flashlight and slowly walked closer, observing carefully.
He saw a large amount of blood on the giant zombie's chest, and in the middle of the knife wound, there seemed to be a small hole.
"Holy crap, the last bullet just now went into its heart through the knife wound?"
"That's too coincidental! Is that even possible?"
Ding! Score changed, one thousand points received.
