482: The logic of the strong

The nine people quickly devoured Old Liu, each holding a few bones, huddled together, and gnawing them clean.

A few minutes later, only a pile of clean white bones remained of Old Liu.

An Intermediate Evolver at the peak of his power, once formidable, was easily erased from the world.

Pan Han felt that enough time had passed. He crooked his finger, and the nine people instantly regained consciousness.

Xiao Qing's eyes gradually cleared. She looked around blankly, then lowered her head to look at the bones in her hands.

"Ah!!" She screamed and threw away the bones.

When she saw Old Liu's remains beside her, she instantly understood what had just happened.

"Ugh!" Xiao Qing's stomach churned, and she vomited.

The others also woke up and threw away the bones one after another.

Uncle Deng looked around and slowly walked behind Xiao Qing, patting her back.

"Everyone, we must have encountered an expert. Do you remember what just happened?" Uncle Deng asked while patting her back.

"No... I don't remember!" one of the supporters wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and said, fighting back the nausea.

"Uncle Deng, do you know what happened?" another person asked.

"I'm not sure either. But Old Liu is definitely dead." Uncle Deng slowly straightened up, released his spiritual sense, and looked around.

However, the next second, the group clutched their stomachs and collapsed to the ground.

The aftereffects of the sudden surge in their cultivation realm began to manifest, and severe pain struck the nine people, leaving them unable to resist.

"Uncle Deng, what's happening to us?" Xiao Qing looked at everyone in pain.

"It must be the expert's doing. I'm afraid our time is up." Uncle Deng spat out a mouthful of blood and said weakly.

He had lived for over a hundred years and possessed a sensitivity to life and death that was different from ordinary people.

At this moment, the energy within him was draining away rapidly, and his spiritual sense was shrinking violently.

"Which expert is here? Could you show yourself? Let us die with clarity." Xiao Qing suppressed her pain and shouted at the sky.

Upon hearing this, Pan Han lowered his cloud and descended abruptly beside the nine people.

A refreshing fragrance followed, alleviating most of the pain, and the nine people felt slightly more comfortable.

"Who are you?" Xiao Qing stared at Pan Han, kneeling up halfway to ask.

"I am Pan Han, Commander of the Dawn Army." His voice was gentle, magnetic, and kind, yet an irrepressible sense of authority reached the ears of the nine people.

"You are Pan Han?" Uncle Deng widened his eyes, asking in disbelief.

"No way! You're actually this young?" Xiao Qing stood up while holding her stomach, finally wiping the blood from the corner of her mouth.

"Aren't you missing a sentence? Like, 'and also so handsome'?" Pan Han smiled.

"Shameless..." Xiao Qing cursed and hid behind Uncle Deng.

The others also stood up one after another, gathering near Uncle Deng.

"It seems you all listen to this Uncle Deng!" Pan Han asked upon seeing this.

"How do you know my name?" As soon as Uncle Deng finished asking, he felt it was too abrupt.

Pan Han was an expert; what was so strange about him knowing his name?

"I heard it from the sky." Pan Han pointed to the sky with one hand, exuding an air of arrogance.

"You can go to the sky?" a supporter asked on impulse.

"Heh, if I couldn't go to the sky, how would I have descended?"

Facing those who were about to die, Pan Han's attitude was actually not bad.

In fact, everyone had seen Pan Han descend from the sky, but they still couldn't believe it.

After all, for an Intermediate Evolver, flight was still in the realm of miracles.

"Are you a High-level Evolver?" Uncle Deng was still the most composed; this question had more depth than the previous ones.

"Yes! And at the peak of the High-level."

The scene fell into silence; facing a legendary figure, everyone couldn't think of what to say for a moment.

"You don't have much time left, ask what you want quickly." Pan Han pretended to check his watch, though in reality, his spiritual sea had long since displayed the remaining lifespan of the group. At most, they had a few minutes left.

"If we surrender now, is there still a chance?" Uncle Deng held the others back, signaling that he would handle the conversation and that no one else should speak.

"Actually, even if you had surrendered earlier, it wouldn't have mattered. Unfortunately, for you, there's no chance left. However, your families and the common people will remain unharmed."

"But we haven't done anything against you." Xiao Qing hid behind and couldn't help but ask.

What kind of logic is this? Killing even after surrender—who would ever surrender in the future?

"What you say is very correct, but I'm not listening." Pan Han clapped his hands, not giving Xiao Qing a pleasant look at all, and retorted directly.

He could accept the surrender of Primary Evolvers, but for Intermediate Evolvers, it was better to forget it.

After unification, all Intermediate Evolvers could only come from Dawn Base.

Pan Han could trust each of them individually, but when they were all gathered together, he couldn't trust them.

He had to nip all threats in the bud from the root.

Furthermore, after unification, Intermediate Evolvers would no longer be very useful and would only become the root of internal strife.

"You... you are a devil." Xiao Qing was shocked by Pan Han's answer, but not knowing how to refute it, she could only curse angrily.

"Xiao Qing, don't say anymore. We've lived long enough." Uncle Deng stopped Xiao Qing, not letting her continue to lash out.

Facing the strong, trash talk was useless. If they accidentally angered Pan Han, their families and the common people would suffer.

"Is there anything else you want to ask? If not, I'm leaving." Pan Han looked around and asked one last time.

Uncle Deng sighed, took a trembling step forward, and stared at Pan Han: "Will everyone be able to live a good life?"

"Yes." Pan Han nodded, giving him a definitive answer.

"That's good, that's good!" The old man's eyes suddenly brightened; perhaps this was the best news he could hear before dying.

"Goodbye, everyone." The next second, Pan Han vanished into thin air and reappeared at an altitude of 50,000 meters.

"Old Liu, stop training the troops. Come over and take over the three neighboring states beside you. I've already taken care of it."

An order was transmitted via telepathy to Old Liu's mind. He was shouting slogans and was startled by the voice.

After recovering his senses, he confirmed it was Pan Han's voice.

So Old Liu stopped caring about anything else, turned training into a real operation, and all troops split into three routes and set off immediately.

Pan Han flew to the next state, aiming to spend a few days resolving all resistance and Intermediate Evolvers.

Afterwards, the Dawn Army only needed to occupy the territory.

The nine people stood in place, looking at each other with bitter smiles.

"I haven't lived enough yet." Xiao Qing said, feeling a sense of loss, leaning on Uncle Deng's shoulder and muttering to herself.

"Xiao Qing, in this world, it would be strange if you felt you'd lived enough. Dying peacefully is also quite good."

Uncle Deng patted Xiao Qing's cheek, wiping away the tears that had fallen at some unknown time.

"Uncle Deng, you've lived over a hundred years, but I'm only 30." Xiao Qing gave a bitter smile.

"Forget it, Xiao Qing, don't be so pessimistic."

"This world has already died in advance, and we can only wait for death here quietly. A day earlier or a day later makes no difference."

After finishing, Uncle Deng looked around at everyone, and then his body suddenly turned into a pool of black water.

Following closely, everyone else closed their eyes at the same time and turned into eight pools of black water.

It was no different from the black water that flowed out when they evolved.

Pan Han sensed the state of their deaths and withdrew his spiritual sense, no longer observing.

But the next second, the nine pools of black water slowly merged into one.

Under the faint sunlight, countless tiny, imperceptible things were swimming frantically inside the black water.
